This e-book is not long and tiresome. It’s short and to the point. A funny read that helps one to examine ones self, the first step to any program.

The Fun of Getting Thin By Samuel G. Blythe
A joy to read, April 28, 2007
Reviewer: Lynn Lopez
The Fun of Getting Thin is a very fun e-book to read. The style is witty, humorous, irreverent, and isn't chockfull of condescending advice that will tell you how much better off you will be if you lost all those unwanted pounds. I like how it doesn't mince words about the agony of dieting, weight-loss procedures, and the moment you realize that you are, indeed, fat. It's an extremely short e-book as well, and it won't give you any tips on how you can lose the weight. This is more a personal recollection by the author and his experience should be enough to help you realize that you really can get moving to shed your extra weight. He isn't telling his readers to exactly what he did to lose weight and simply wants people to know that if he was able to accomplish weight loss, then they (we) certainly can. That's part of the charm of this e-book.

The Fun of Getting Thin By Samuel G. Blythe
Not really fun getting thin, but easier this way, August 14, 2007
People who want to lose weight but are having a difficult time giving up their favorite – and fattening – foods may find this report helpful. In this report, Blythe explains how the other “scientific” methods of getting thin failed him and how his own worked. Blythe, though, cautions that his method may not be for everyone before sharing his success story.
Blythe seemed to employ stream of thought writing, which may explain why his introduction is quite long and dragging before he got to the point.
Also, the title “The Fun of Getting Thin” is a bit puzzling to me as the report chronicles Blythe’s struggles in getting thin and mentions other people’s difficulties. At the end, in fact, Blythe declared “This isn’t a frolic. It’s a fight.” So unless Blythe meant the title to be sarcastic – though this too is not clear – the title should be changed so as not to mislead people. Upon seeing the title, I expected light, entertaining read but was instead given a blow-by-blow account on the hardships of losing weight.
All in all, though, the report – particularly the part about Blythe’s experience – is informative.

The Fun of Getting Thin By Samuel G. Blythe
inspiring weight-loss anecdote, August 15, 2007
Reviewer: Lorie Therese Locara
This is a nine-page information-packed resource on how important it is to get thin, and how the process can actually be fun.
The author had just survived the challenge of weight loss himself, and he shares his epiphany with the readers. The fonts are rather thin, but it's worth it, considering the e-book is all of nine pages.
This is a breathless narrative of losing weight and it's actually engaging to read. When you are in need of losing weight, this is the perfect success story for you.
His steps were simple: he ate what he wanted, but he curbed the portions. What is strange is that he advocated what he learned from another extreme (weight) loser: that exercise need not be harrowing. It had to be fun and leisurely and calm. It worked for them both.
It is odd though, that he titled the book "The Fun of Getting Thin," but ended it with emphasizing that getting thin isn't a frolic. Rather, it's a fight. But nonetheless, it's an inspiring, good read, and I recommend you read this.
