Apparently, this was written quite a long time ago, so even though it has already been translated for the more modern audience, it still doesn't entirely appear that way, given the way the words flow and all. Sit through it anyway and you'll find some useful tips too, though not being much of a gardening buff, I'm not entirely sure if all the tips are worth following.
Anyway, despite the language (easy to understand, but definitely not casual and conversational), this guide is very easy to read and makes for an entertaining guide, given the way it is written. This product comes with full resell/distribution rights, so this would go really well with a gardening site you may have.

Good read, but improve presentation, February 29, 2008
This is one detailed gardening book. Almost everything you need to know, from how to plant, how to lay out your garden, the different ways of propagation, and more, are here. Though I am not a gardener, I appreciate some of the tips here like the advantage of using pots instead of wooden boxes for your plants.
It takes just a bit more effort to fully understand the instructions here – after all, this book was written in 1854 so its language is a bit formal and definitely not your daily and conversational fare. You can see it in the title itself – this book is called a “treatise.”
I know that this book has been written by another author and its text should remain as is. I wonder, though, if it would be all right if the one who digitized this e-book could include photos or illustrations to give the readers a clearer idea on what the author is talking about. Visuals would also be a good text breaker as the e-book is quite long. There are indeed a few illustrations here, but more would be better.
