my plr unionizer

New for 2007!

Simple to install, and even easier to use, this software tool is the best time saver seen this year.

It's ease of use is such that there is no learning curve necessary. You simply click on the article as it appears in your folders and then drag and drop
it into the Unionizer.

If you need to change the position
of an article in the list, you simply click on it and then
use the buttons on the side to move it up or down in
the list until it is where you want it. Once the list
is arranged to your satisfaction, you click "generate"
and - that's it. Your own product is made. It is just that simple.

Dissappointed,  August 28, 2007
Reviewer: Dan Levy
Let me start off by saying this is a demo version. I have no idea what the "real" version will do - there's nothing in the demo that says. That said...

This software will let you combine two or more text files into one. The purpose of the software being to combine many PLR articles into one file. This it does. I was able to drag and drop 10 files into the software in about 10 seconds. Then save the file and you have a bigger one.

I can do the same thing by copying and pasting into my word processor. Granted it takes about 2 minutes longer. But, if you are going to edit the file, as you should with PLR, you need it in a word processor anyway. So, a 2 minute savings is the "the best time saver seen this year." If this is true, it does not say much about this year.

If this software had more functionality, like being able to edit the file from within, it could have some real possibilities. And, this may be a feature of the non-demo version. As I said, there's nothing in the software that says what the difference is.

In the meanwhile, if you know how to copy and paste into a word processor or text editor, save the hard disk space. You don't need this.

i love it because it's great for lazy writers, a.k.a. me. :p,  September 13, 2007
Reviewer: Lorie Therese Locara
This software is just an application that would merge your text files into one big document. While yes, my first reaction was, “Uhh, so this pastes files together. So?”

But then I realized, this could actually be helpful in making e-books. If you do not want to use a RAM-hogging office suite application, especially one that embeds code that will impede efficient search engine indexing, then this might be helpful to you. No, it’s not a text editor or a word processor. This is something that will help you consolidate your text files into one big document. Some people who write e-books tend to write the chapters in several text files. This could be helpful in finally consolidating everything into one long document. You may have to edit the formatting a bit, but still, it sure beats copy-pasting.

I would recommend this for people as lazy as moi. But a heads-up though. You may need to wait around 30 minutes for the .NET framework to be done downloading. Not recommended for a corrupted system, because I remember that I had hell with .NET before because my system was scarred with a trojan invasion.

But after the .NET framework is done downloading, installation is a snap, and you can have your nifty tool in no time.

And yes. I love it because I like doing my work in text files, and I’m absolutely lazy. :p

Too bad it’s in Windows. This is exactly the reason why I want a new laptop. Heheh.

Okay, so the product description said it was easy to install. It was, but it took quite a while to download the required file (I have no idea why), the .NET Framework, which also took its sweet time installing itself. Once I got the program going however, I gotta say I have to agree with Dan's comments. You could just as easily accomplish what this software does on your own, and you wouldn't even have to download a single thing, plus it doesn't really take a lot of effort and time to combine numerous articles in one file. I say this product had good intentions, but it fell short of expectations and wasn't really able to deliver anything new and groundbreaking. I'll give it a couple of stars and some pats on the back for the good intention, though, but it would be nice if the creator went back to the drawing board and rereleased this at some point.

What a disapointment!,  September 17, 2007
I downloaded the pack and installed it and tried it our on some PLR articles I had also just downloaded. Yes, it did exactly what it said it would, combined a number of articles into one file.

I started to feel that perhaps Surefire had found us a useful yet simple tool.

Today I just went back to it to do some futher 'combining of files' and guess what it;s just a demo version and that's it. Now to use it I have to buy it.

I looked at the price to buy, $67 and I thought that the full version must be able to do lot more. I looked on the site and found that what you see in the demo version is all you get.

Therefore I think that it's back to the old 'cut n past' as this s/w prices its self out of the market.
