Golden Rules to Online Business Success By Samuel Baron
Mr. Baron, please revise this., January 02, 2008
Reviewer: Lorie Therese Locara
First thing I noticed when I opened this e-book was that I liked the golden watermark. :) It was a great touch that spoke of the professionalism and the detail-orientedness of the e-book’s creators.
Then when I skimmed the table of contents, I was thinking, “Not bad, for a free e-book.”
Benefits of online business
Is online business right for you?
Fatal mistakes of Internet Marketing
Build solid foundation
Planning to long term
Creative & smart vs. hard work
Build connections (community) online
Replicate and expand
Then I noticed the grammatical errors: the lack of connecting words like “the,” “a,” etc. Err. Bad sign.
Then when I snuck a peek inside, dreading the avalanche of grammatical abuse...
Err, I think you may need to look elsewhere. Because I was twisting and turning like a cat being burned with this e-book.
I am so sorry, Samuel A. Baron, but the ghostwriter you hired let you down. Please do a major overhaul of this because frankly, this was sheer agony.
I liked the design, it was a great touch. I loved the topics, but the content, though I’m sure there are gems of wisdom there somewhere... But the grammar just assailed me.
Please revise this.

I hate to be mean, but I must say that if the author of this e-book has made a killing out of running an online business, then hey, it looks like that means that I probably can, too! Okay, you can really understand what the text is trying to say, but having to make an effort to do so is a sign that the whole just isn't well written at all. It is full of grammatical errors that may sometimes cause you to lose track of what the text is saying. The contents sounded promising enough, and the design was simple and elegant (I love the font used), but the actual text--ick. I agree with the previous reviewer; if this was indeed the work of a ghostwriter, then Samuel Baron really should ask for his money back! Either that, or do a better job screening the kind of work his writers submit next time. Quality control, y'know.

Good advice, but please make book reader-friendly, January 24, 2008
These do look like golden rules any beginning Internet marketer should take to heart. These are principles here based on facts and other people’s experience.
Among the rules, I like the part about working smart versus working hard. I also like how the author explained the importance of the unique selling proposition (USP). This is quite important as some newbie Internet marketers tend to forget this very crucial element to their success or failure.
However, this report could use some improvement. For one, there are just too many grammatical errors – some very glaring – that they are quite distracting already. To me, they are also irritating. The author should definitely hire a good editor.
The book title splashed diagonally across every page also does not help in adding impact to the author’s message – it only distracts.
While the advice in this report is quite good, some readers may be turned off with the author’s writing. The author would do well to revise this report or have it gone over by a competent editor.
