A Fluffy and Boring Read, May 29, 2007
Reviewer: Kosta Efstathiou
Pros:
Resell Rights.
Website Included.
The "Resources And Recommendations" section has the most detail and will give you a general idea of the cost.
Cons:
There is too much-unexplained techno-jargon and excess verbiage, although not detailed enough.
There are many formatting errors.
Bottom Line:
This eBook is a time waster. Most readers know the majority of what's in this eBook, so basically nothing to learn from.
A plus to the authors is that they use my suggestion of having a header or footer link to be clickable.

A must-have!, April 07, 2007

When I read the words 'PC Protection,' I thought it was going to be an e-book about protecting one's servers and computers from trojans, spyware, viruses--you get the drift. It turns out that it was talking about real DISASTERS that could strike your computer, from fires to earthquakes to a bug attack, and this means real-life crawling critters. This is a pretty important guide to have, especially since people are now so focused on protecting their computers from spyware et. al. that we forget that there are other external forces that could also be disastrous for us.
It recommends a number of products that are helpful in easing or preventing any problems that could come up. It also provides a number of tips that should already be practiced by anyone with common sense, yet still forget about (like the fact that we shouldn't eat anywhere near our computers).
Apart from being an informative e-book, it's also very entertaining and parts of it are written in a very light-hearted tone. Every computer-based business should have a copy of this one. It would definitely help protect their business from disaster.

Made a dull subject quite interesting, June 04, 2007

I must admit, this isn't the most exciting subject ever, but I downloaded it as it's an area that I am probably not dilligent enough in.
This ebook covers all sorts of disasters that can impact your PC, including fires, lightning, earthquakes, spillages, loss of data and more and explains how you can go about preventing some of these disasters and ensure that your data is backed up correctly. It also gives a guide to the various products available to help with this.
The ebook is well written and nicely laid out and is written in an easy to read lighthearted way.
I'd give it 4 stars.

good for newbies, August 15, 2007

If you want a good laugh at how some computer users could actually do that to their computers, then this is a great e-book for that.
While this didn't really intend to be a humorous venture, I found it more or less funny, because I didn't realize that some people could do really idiotic things to their computers that would warrant an e-book like this.
A majority of the e-book is composed of helpful tips on backing up one's hard drive and data, and these are very helpful reminders, especially to those whose lives depend on their data.
But there's one point this e-book made that I found really funny: the fact that it pointed out that laptops were not made to be used on the lap.
The modern laptops, like the Apple Macbook, and the Toshiba ones have efficient cooling systems and are very safe to use on one's lap, so it's really funny for me to read that laptops were not meant to be used on one's lap. What if you need to use it in an area that has no tables then?
But all the same, I believe this e-book would help people who are not as acquainted with caring for their computers, and there are some gems inside that are worth exploring.
