Cash Sucking Sales Letter Secrets

A complete Course,  February 04, 2007
After I began reading I was impressed with the quality of information being delivered and appreciated the style. There came a natural breaking point in the narrative and I paused to reflect that I had certainly gotten my money's worth. Then I looked at the slider and saw that I wasn't even a third of the way through all that the course contained.
In any course or book purporting to teach the reader it is necessary to go into enough detail that understanding is complete and the application of your new-found knowledge will be correctly implemented.
"Cash Sucking --" is a splendid example of a great book or course because it goes two more steps by making the material interesting and memorable.
This is one course I will be keeping on my desktop ready for instant access.
I give this book a five star PLUS rating.

It would look like this e-book jumped to the meat of the matter without bothering with an introduction, but you'll find that the first section serves as the introduction.

This details AND sums up all the sales letter reminders you've ever read in e-books about marketing. It also gives tips on how to make your sales letter look attractive, and not just your offers and the way you write it, but its overall design, which is what some sales letter writers tend to forget about.

Some sections might seem repetitive, like the one that talks about 'why sales letters lose business' and another one that lists common mistakes, but they each explore different aspects of the topic. But the ones talking about how to write a good sales letter, the secrets to writing an effective sales letter, and the ten basic rules to writing them are just too much and should have just been contained in one whole chapter, or at least in several chapters in a row instead of scattered all over the e-book. The e-book could have done with better organization and should have been divided into chapters so as to explore similar concepts in one section.

another Liz Tomey great!,  August 06, 2007

When I opened this e-book, the classic Liz Tomey touch was there: attractive graphics, great layout, great organization, and best of all, great content. Everything you need to know about making a great sales letter is in this e-book, and I believe this is one resource you cannot afford to miss, for several reasons:

1) It’s by Liz Tomey. I’m a fan of hers, so this wouldn’t come as a surprise, I’m sure. :p

2) It is filled with information on how to develop a sales letter that is sure to draw in your customers.

3) It shows you how NOT to write a sales letter, so you will know how to pick out your mistakes.

4) It introduces a system of writing a sales letter that has been guaranteed to reel in people to buy the products.

5) It walks you through writing a sales letter.

6) It’s packed with tips on how to enhance the persuasive abilities of your sales letters.

Whenever I read a Liz Tomey product, I never fail to gush, because it’s always excellently-done, from the layout to the content. And it also helps that her co-author John Hostler, has had an impressive career in marketing and consultancy. This is a collaborative effort that had stellar results, and I won’t hesitate to recommend this to people who are starting their marketing career. Excellent job, Liz!

This might help suck in some cash,  August 14, 2007

A very useful read for anyone who wants to sell a product through sales letters. The authors first explain how valuable sales letters can be to generate sales before taking the reader to what makes an effective sales letter.

Though it is already common knowledge among sales people that the customers’ needs are first, the authors demonstrate just how to apply this principle in writing winning sales letters. What has been particularly helpful to me was the discussion on the difference between features and benefits and how knowing this difference can make or break the sales letter.

The authors also point out the most-read parts of the sales letter and the opportunities they present. Aside from the content, the authors also give tips on the proper layout and font type, size and color to use to attract the prospect.

Also entertaining and arguably useful for sales people is how the authors created an analogy between the effective sales letter and the effective salesperson. This might just help salespeople in writing sales letters.

The e-book is a bit long and is already repetitive in some parts, though, but the final checklist in the end helps to let the reader absorb all the relevant information.
