Q. Please tell us a little about your background. I am a full-time college student and Internet Entrepreneur.
Q. What made you decide to start a website in the field? I read that niche websites were very profittable and I wanted to give one a try and see what the possibilities were. On top of that I have a fond passion for animals and wanted to help other pet owners.
Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website? I wanted to make sure the demand for information on hamsters were reasonable first and foremost. I then focused on the most relevant keywords and information that people seek about hamsters.
Q. How did you design and build your website? I built it using open source CMS.
Q. What software do you use to run your business? Currently I only use Joomla.
Q. How does your website generate income? I will offer products specific to the niche, but mainly I will try to generate revenue through affiliate advertising and pay per click.
Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services? That has yet to be determined as of right now.
Q. What promotion methods do you use? I will be using primarily social bookmarking, search engines, pay per click, and article marketing.
Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results? I actually have no idea yet, as this site has just been launched today and still has a lot of development to go!
Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you? Same as above.
Q. What is your biggest challenge each month? By far it will be moving up the search engines and trying to generate enough traffic to make my efforts worthwhile.
Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business? I haven't thought enough about how to generate traffic to my website.
Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business? The Internet has been great to me and has allowed me to live without having to work in a job for many years. It has really opened by eyes to the potential that we are all capable of and the life that people were meant to live.
