Q. Please tell us a little about your background.
I am currently serving in the US Navy and have one year left until retirement from the service. I have been writing fiction novels since I was 13 and have been involved with on and off line business for 14 years. I have been designing and managing niche websites since 2005.

Q. What made you decide to start a website in the field?
My motivators to start this type of website are to help people realize their dreams and to find their passions in life. I also love money, so I decided to compile a website that introduces visitors to all of the principles of building wealth.

Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website?
Several years of reading books on building wealth, investing, and website optimization. Upon conception of this niche idea, it took about 20 hours of work to structure the website and to brainstorm my initial pages of content. The rest fell into place from there.

Q. How did you design and build your website?
I create all of my content and use the SiteBuildIt! hosting platform from SiteSell to design and build Wealth Building Principles.

Q. What software do you use to run your business?
All of my website final pages are built in SiteBuildIt!, originally generated on notepad and spell checked using Microsoft Word. I also use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for all of my graphic designs. Microsoft Excel is a must for all of my website tracking.

Q. How does your website generate income?
My website has several passive income streams, primarily consisting of Adsense and affiliate programs. These affiliate programs are few and far between, but are placed where they are needed when I don't have the information to write. During Phase 4 of my website, I will roll out my product line for the niche and use this for "net profits on demand", a concept created by Joshua Shafran.

Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services?
I do not collect payments on my websites as of right now but intend on incorporating that soon.

Q. What promotion methods do you use?
I use search engine optimization to generate most of the traffic to my website, followed by referral based marketing techniques. I also use email marketing once I capture visitors on my website to give me the "on demand" income.

Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results?
Email marketing is the most powerful and provides the best sales conversions, but only after a relationship is developed with my network.

Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you?
Search engine traffic. My website is optimized and growing everyday.

Q. What is your biggest challenge each month?
Time. In the Navy, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate toward my dreams. But I only have a year left, of which I will do what I can and then dedicated a majority of my time building my website.

Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business?
Not adding content daily. The more pages a website has, the more chances of capturing visitors looking for different things.

Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business?
This isn't my first online business and definitely won't be my last. I grow with knowledge and ideas with each venture I pursue.
