Needs work, but has potential, April 07, 2007
Reviewer: Lynn Lopez
I personally wouldn't hire The Write Touch 4 U to handle all my copywriting needs, particularly because their website copy has quite a number of errors. It's not a promising sign at all. The company also offers its portfolio on the website, but I'm not too pleased with it, because you have to view the writing samples in Word, text, or PDF formats. Some of the texts are done a lot better than the copy on the website itself, so perhaps the services offered may be a lot more promising.
Layout-wise, it's very simple and easy to navigate, although due to the Google ads at the left sidebar, there's a large amount of black space at the bottom of the page, so this would need fixing. I also don't agree with the choice of font. Lucida Handwriting is never good on a website, and white text against a black background causes a fair bit of eye strain. With a redesign and a rewrite, this site would be very good.

An attractive site offering a wide variety of services. Perhaps a llittle more attention to the type and grammar in the page contents would be beneficial to both visitors and the website-owner.

Re-design, January 17, 2008

I agree that this website needs a lot of work. While the content is written well and is quite interesting to read – after all, the webmaster is a writer! – somehow, some errors still slipped by. Though not really many, these are a cause for concern as this is a writing services website.
What I like about this website, though, and what I am sure Internet marketers would like, is the free critique. This is a good way to gain clients.
But the major issue with this website is the look and the layout. When I first looked at it, I tried to find the “center” or the highlight or focus of the design, but could not find it immediately. I had to look at the upper left hand corner of the website to get my first visual cue on what this website is about.
The web pages are also too text-heavy – no graphics or photos as breakers. And once I left the home page, I thought the menu disappeared! Then I found it at the bottom, in very small font, looking like Google ads.
Also, I cannot view the entire page in my monitor – I had to scroll just a little to the right to read the last word in the line. I suggest the page view settings of this website be changed so it can be viewed in all PCs with different settings.
