Has a lot of content, June 26, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| This site carries a lot of products, all of which are widely promoted all throughout the website. The design is very simple and makes it very easy for visitors to get around its different sections, though indeed its appearance could stand to be improved much more. It does a great job of showcasing samples of the author's/creator's works to give you an idea about the qualities of the products up for sale. It also gives away freebies, which are samples of his storybooks. A very good move to entice visitors into coming back, especially if his stuff is exceptional. People interested in becoming an affiliate can also find it easy to do so, since this site has a special page that explains everything about the affiliate program. You might find this to be a good multimedia site as well, since it also makes use of videos as a way to showcase the content. All in all, it fulfills its duty as a promotional site. |

Targeted website that can help parents and their children, September 22, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Claire Madarang |
This looks like a very credible, reliable website designed to help children with low self-esteem and problems learning. The author talks about his experiences with his daughter and children he encounters as an early childhood educator. The way he talks about his book is beautifully done and does not look like advertising. The testimonials of satisfied parents also look promising. The author seems to really have a genuine desire to help people.
And, in consistence with the modern theories on child’s learning, he easily delves into concepts like multiple intelligences by Howard Gardner (but without the jargon, of course) and explains how these benefit children.
My only problem here is the layout of the website. In the home page there is too much information crammed that you have to scroll all the way down. I appreciate that there is a navigation bar at the left side and at the bottom probably to address this issue, but it is still not too easy on the part of the reader to scroll down long as opposed to clicking to go to the next page.
Also, the navigation bar could have been more organized into categories. The products, for example, could all fall under one category. The “About Paul” link can easily be changed to “About the Author” to make it clearer.

Story Books That Teach, October 14, 2007 |
| Reviewer: donnette davis |
| The information on this site covers almost every aspect of teaching children with difficulties, homechooling, as well as family-related articles including pregnancy. A number of links took me to the author's other sites, there was always a back link. I found the site easy to navigate and the pages were fast loading. The front page is a little long-winded and could have been broken up a little. I liked the site and found the resources valuable. I bookmarked it. |
