SaveMyGas.com promotes a book entitled "How To Keep More Cash In Your Pocket At The Gas Pump," but the site itself contains actual content and not just promotional texts. It talks about why fuel prices change rapidly (a very informative section, in my opinion), provides a comparison between gasoline and diesel, and also has downloadable PDF files of fuel economy guides. It also adds extra information on hybrid vehicles and ethanol, both of which are really making waves nowadays thanks to greater environmental awareness. These sections are well-written and everything's clearly explained. Design-wise, it has a simple look, and is a rarity in sites nowadays in that it isn't splattered with Google Ads all over the place.
One thing I found annoying is how clicking a link in the navigation menu would open a new window, and other navigation links clicked would also load in that other window. I find this annoying because it all could have just loaded in one window without any trouble.

This website is quite well-done, both in layout and content. The overall look is simple but appealing. The color theme and photos are much appropriate to the topic. The website boasts of quality content as well, with short but informative articles on gasoline in general and gasoline prices. The free, downloadable fuel economy guides are helpful as well. The sales copy for the book here is also enticing, especially with a money-back guarantee.
As good as it is right now, this website can still be improved. First, a little editing is in order to refine the content, particularly in grammar and word choice. Also, the information sometimes gets too technical, like chemical structure, cetane number and octane number. While it is all right to include this in the website, the author should have explained what these mean in lay person’s terms and what their implications are. Moreover, the information on gasoline prices is outdated as it is already five years ago.
I also agree that for easier viewing, the links should be directed in the same window and should not open another window.
