Q. Please tell us a little about your background. I have been investing in Real Estate for a little over 2 years now, dealing with a variety of situations and opportunities. About 6 months into doing this I had a lot of pre-foreclosure opportunities find me and ended up learning a lot about short sales due to this.
Q. What made you decide to start a website in the field? I decided to do this because I spent a lot of time learning and wanted to provide others with resources that they could use to decrease the time that they would need to spend getting up to speed.
Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website? I spent a great deal of time investigating resources and tools as well as experts that I could pull into my site.
Q. How did you design and build your website? I used a basic framework of information that I would find useful and it has evolved from there. I did hire out some of the initial design of the site.
Q. What software do you use to run your business? I use the following tools at this time: Eudora Microsoft Outlook FrontPage As well as the general office products. I have purchased a veiw products as well to enhance the user experience.
Q. How does your website generate income? The income is generated from products for sale as well as back end sales that are made by my guest speakers.
Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services? At this time I am using 1shopping cart and tieing this into paypal.
Q. What promotion methods do you use? I am currently doing the following: - submitting articles - submitting to newsgroups - asking guest speakers to promote
Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results? As far as sales I would have to say that the promotions that my speakers offer are bringing in the largest return at this time
Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you? The Article submissions are doing a great job of pulling in traffic.
Q. What is your biggest challenge each month? I'm not sure, I have a lot of challenges, but I would have to say that ensuring that I can offer a speaker with a quality talk and a good product at an affordable price point is pretty big.
Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business? I put up a new book once and by mistake pointed to the download link instead of the order page - ouch
Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business? I am having a lot of fun and feel like I am giving back. I have also been able to create some great new networks.
