Interesting!, July 08, 2007

The introductory text on the main page is written in a fascinatingly perky manner and promises 'dozens of pages' on the topic at hand. And indeed it delivers. It has plenty of articles on different topics from (herbal product-related) weight loss, gardening, health matters, etc. Definitely a lot of content you can spend a long time looking through, and ones that will keep you coming back. Interestingly, it also offers a diploma course in medicinal herbs and you can even get some start-up business tips. Most importantly, this tells you everything you need or want to know about herbs and gardening.
The layout is nothing spectacular, but it does a good job of presenting what this site has to offer. Very basic look and easy to navigate. The number of ads is reasonable and they don't clutter up the site either. All in all, it's a very nice site that doesn't skimp on content.

This website is a little difficult to navigate. There are too many items in the menu – or perhaps too many that seem out of place. As the title of the website refers to herb gardens, I fully expect to find most of the information in the website related to these. If there is other information not very related with herbs, I expect to find this in the Links page. However, prominent in the menu are choices like “business sector” and “weight loss” ABOVE some other herb information.
To lessen the choices in the menu at the side, it might be best to separate basic items like Home, About Us and Contact us in a separate menu or navigation bar – perhaps at the top of the page. Also, a sitemap should be added, especially for a website like this with quite a lot of information.
I like the color and the look, particularly the gradient of the green box at the top of the page. However, the page still looks a bit bare. It could use some photos of herbs to brighten it up. Also, the green shade in the menu is a bit glaring, almost close to neon. A more matte shade might look more appealing.
