I have grown children but really enjoyed this site. This site is appealing, and I was curious, I found my self spending a lot of time going from one area to another. There is so much valuable information for parents, schools, youth groups, it is not just for families that home school. Information is updated continuously, there is an article on Halloween, and found the history of Halloween interesting. I thought the site was eye appealing and easy to navigate through. There is information on color and concepts, game of the day, language, free ESL resources and much much more. The interview was very interesting also, this woman is a super Mom.

Good presentation, but make it more “navigable”, October 10, 2007

This website is quite eye-catching as it uses appropriate pictures and icons for a website on a children’s school. The ads here also do not look out of the place – they were very well-laid out to fit in with that website. The overall look of the website is very colorful and appealing – save for the gray font, which looks a little dull and should have just been plain black or something more colorful that does not hurt the eyes. The welcome note in the homepage also very much fits the feel of a home school website.
The layout could have been better, though. However colorful the website is, it should be easy to navigate. At the moment, the website looks cluttered, with too many items on the menu at the top and at the side. There should be submenus to make navigation easier. And of course, given the number of choices in the menu, this website should have a sitemap to at least make things easier.

Ad- and content-filled, October 17, 2007

The St. Aiden's Homeschool website has a very nice, welcoming look, although I do take issue with the number of ads scattered all over the site. Yes, ads are important, but for a website like this, it seems like it's a better idea if the description of the services itself wasn't overpowered by the presence of the ads. Other than that, this does have a lot of fun little sections that will keep you interested for quite a while. Layoutwise, some sections need to be tweaked so as to look consistent with the rest of the other pages. If you want to know more about homeschooling, or are interested in some activities you can do and how you can approach homeschooling, then this is indeed a very nice site to visit. I really only recommend that the number of ads be toned down because they tend to be a little distracting.
