Working on the Net as a Web Administrator and Internet Marketer for others, until recently when I got scammed for my hard work by the unscrupulous company, so I decided it's time to work for myself.

Q. What made you decide to start a website in the field?
Used to work for a company in Home Improvement Industry, so was very close, I had lots of info already.

Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website?
Used to work in the field, had lots of info + had access to some PLR products.

Q. How did you design and build your website?
Most of it by myself, by hand
one part has been build by Instant Site Niche Builder
Planning to ad RSS feeds and WordPress blog through my host Cpanel Fantastico.

Q. What software do you use to run your business?
RSS2Blogs, PowerRSS - but mostly for ClickBank products, CB Niche Builder, and those available in my hosts Cpanels,
couple of graphic software.

Q. How does your website generate income?
Not much yet (only 10 days old), hope will be from my own Products package sold through Clickbank, plus other Affiliate programs, and Adsense.

Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services?
ClickBank and Google Adsense.

Q. What promotion methods do you use?
Trying to find Affiliates for my products, Article Writing, Free re-brandable ebook with Master Resell Rights, submission to Directories
later Blogs and Forums forum posts.

Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results?
Not enough info yet, but usually Affiliate marketing and my own products gives me the most money.

Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you?
JV/Affiliate promotions, articles distribution
viral marketing and some "not-so-common" marketing methods.

Q. What is your biggest challenge each month?
Manage all the info and all the tasks I want to do, and should do.

Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business?
That I haven't started working for myself sooner!
I lost too much time making somebody else rich.

Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business?
More busy, less time, but greater satisfaction.

Yes, please! So we can do some JV together! ;-)
But get deeper, Specialize more - there are Many "subcategories" in the Home Improvement industry, so I would welcome to have somebody else to offer another product so we can promote and help each other.
