Needs more content, June 11, 2007

I like the nice and humble approach of the website's text. Instead of proclaiming that she's the world's best-ever copywriter you could ever hope to hire, the site owner and writer admits that she isn't, but does proudly proclaim that she has a way with words. That's a different way of going about things. The layout leaves much to be desired while the content itself probably just needs a bit of fixing up. I would also personally like to see some writing samples and a portfolio of the site owner/writer, just to build a little more confidence in her skills. Still, she made use of testimonials to prove her mettle as a writer, so that's a smart move. Overall, it's not the best-looking site you could ever hope to see, but it's simple and more organized than most, and the text is a bit engaging too. Not a bad effort.

This may not be the very best copy – but very good, yes – but this is probably the most sincere one I have ever read so far. And sincerity makes an emotional connection. So if you want to have an emotional connection with your customers, Fran McDuffee looks like she can do it for you.
These lines from her copy particularly struck me “With me on your team, you can concentrate on what you do best --- running your business --- while I concentrate on what I do best --- writing the words --- Turning the Ordinary Into the Extraordinary!” Coming from her and the way she wrote the earlier paragraphs, this sounds sincere.
I do wish she uploaded samples of her work here, even though the testimonials look good.
The layout looks clean and simple, though this could be better. Also, the text takes up too much space to the right. McDuffee could have left some space there.
