Q. Please tell us a little about your background.
A. My wife and I have both always wanted to make a living at home. We are both professional people, but are tired of the rat race. We have a passion for boxers, as they have given us more joy than we could have imagined. So we though we would share that with all and see if we could start our dream of working from home at the same time.
Q. What made you decide to start a website in the Boxer Dog field?
A. We wanted to do something we both enjoyed and knew something about.
Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website?
A. How large the target audience was and was it expandable. The answer to both questions was positive so we proceeded.
Q. How did you design and build your website?
A. Using graphics software and a HTML package.
Q. What software do you use to run your business?
A. Quicken and various other specialty packages like e-book software and RSS generators.
Q. How does your website generate income?
A. Mostly through Affiliate products and Google Adsense.
Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services?
A. Varies by merchant
Q. What promotion methods do you use?
A. Website, newsletter, Google Adwords and a blog.
Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results?
A. Website and Blog
Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you?
A. Blog
Q. What is your biggest challenge each month?
A. Keeping fresh content on the site.
Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business?
A. Not knowing more about marketing.
Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business?
A. Right now I have less free time with a job and this as well. But I see light at the end of the tunnel.
