Interview By: Jeremy Gislason Interview Date: 16-Oct-05
Q. Please tell us a little about your background. Leo Radunz has been in internet businesses over 10 yrs and has done well with affiliate products.
Kenneth Sword comes from a professional music background of 25+ yrs and marketing is the way you stayed employed. So internet marketing comes naturally for him. He sunk his teeth into internet business in January of 2005.
Q. What made you decide to start a website in the field? People are getting 'numbed' at the same way the internet has advertised over the past 10 years. People are more demanding and want to 'cut to the chase'. When they go looking for something they want truth and expertise, not flashy banners that'll give you seizures. People are getting wiser in their searches and 'natural' articles and sales point referencing seems to really be the up-swing of marketing. This can be helpful in 'Niche Marketing'.
Blogs seem to fit the bill in this and more. RSS and blogs have opened a path where readers can find what they want, business owners get quicker listings and if done correctly can become a 'Niche Factory' by using the blog.
Q. What kind of research went into this niche area before building your website? Questions and observation of fellow marketers in several advertising forums over the last 6 months.
Q. How did you design and build your website? The core program and affiliate program are a script. Leo did customization and modification. Leo/Kenneth worked on banners and Kenneth went with the recruiting and marketing.
Q. What software do you use to run your business? Blog script: http://scripts.chitika.net Affiliate script: Affiliate Software By iDevAffiliate v4.0
Q. How does your website generate income? Executive memberships and ads are our money makers so far. Kenneth is developing a Niche/Blog program to instruct and to resell.
Q. How do you collect payments for your products or services? All money methods through paypal
Q. What promotion methods do you use? Word of mouth, affiliates, banners, optin lists, rotators, text ads, exchanges, other blog services, pinging directories, will finish one page site and have operational in a week.
Q. Which method has proven to give you the best sales results? Our affiliates love the blog and are great testamonies to our site.
Q. Which method of traffic generation has proven to be the best for you? Again, word of mouth has proven best. Second is optin safelists. Third Search engines. I believe this will soon change.
Q. What is your biggest challenge each month? Making sure to handle all customers inquiries as soon as they ask. Not hours or days from now.
Q. What's the biggest mistake you've made since starting your business? Not testing before launch. We knew it would work and messed a little with it but to put it in inexperienced hands would have helped to prevent some of the problems in the beginning.
Q. How has your lifestyle changed since you started your online business? Kenneth's perspective has gone from 'I'll try it' to 'Full 150% passion'. Leo has been this way for many years.
Q. How has your SureFireWealth.com membership helped you with your online business? A good business model to follow. Resources that has helped personally and as a promotion to our business.
Q. What would you say to someone looking to start a website in the same niche as you? Come and join us since we have worked out the 'trial and error' part for you.
------------------- Thanks Kenneth and Leo!
