Review Title: Good hamster care site |
| Date Reviewed: March 20, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
I love hamsters, so this website naturally drew me in. It has a clean and simply layout and the contents are clearly laid out. It also provides some really useful information on hamster care, so for anyone thinking about buying hamsters, this would be a good site to visit. You might also find the hamster pictures quite endearing, and they come with some nice and clever captions too.
It would be a lot better if the site focused more on dwarf hamsters, though, or at least contained some tidbits about dwarf hamsters. The contents sound more like they're appropriate for all types of hamsters. Different kinds of hamsters require different ways of handling and care because they have different temperaments, and it would be a good idea for this site to highlight dwarf hamsters, as it promised on the main page, rather than just containing general information. For example, it can address the characteristics of dwarf hamsters, habits, or even a bit of their history. |

Review Title: Needs more original content |

I like simple-looking sites with understated designs, and Sheet Music For Songs's look suits me fine. The site's main content includes information on music organizations, different kinds of sheet music, and why they're used. I didn't like the way different sections of the site open in a pop-up windows, but as it turned out, the rest of the site's contents come from MusicNotes.com, from the blog to the actual sheet music itself. Kind of deceiving, because I assumed Sheet Music For Songs offered its own sheet music.
To actually view the sheet music on Music Notes, you're going to have to download a sheet viewer, which I was apprehensive about at first. Who knows if such software installations are legit? You can't be too careful. Luckily, the sheet viewer worked fine, but it also has a feature which enables you to listen to the music. That requires another download of the plugin, which I thought was too much.
So I wasn't entirely happy with the site because I think there should be more original content. Maybe it would help if it provided its own sheet music and didn't just link to the content on Music Notes. |

Clicking the www.satravelling.co.za URL takes you directly to SafariNow.com, a travel website which helps facilitate reservations and bookings. Layout-wise, it has a very professional look, and everything is neatly organized which is a big help for anyone hoping to make travel plans to South Africa. It has information on ten different cities in South Africa, good package deals, and details on local activities, attractions, and accommodations, which are basically anything every tourist would like to see. You can also find information on rental cars and tours. Owners of establishments in the country can also register on the site to be included in their database.
Football fans will also be thrilled to read up on the 10 stadiums chosen for the 2010 FIFA World Cup which will be held in South Africa. By the way, it's not just restricted to South Africa, but also gives details on travelling to Mozambique and Namibia. Overall, the site is a credible travel resource and is a big help for tourists. |

As a big pizza fan, I have to say I like Pizza Therapy, but I really wish they get some help to do something about this site's layout, which is dated and pretty disorganized. It's not the neatest website you could ever see.
But layout issues aside, this is a very fun website to look through. It has plenty of tasty recipes that will leave you craving for pizza, but it also has recipes for other Italian fare. It's filled with tips on making the perfect pizza, which I'm sure many people would be interested in trying out, and contains information on good ingredients to use. It also shares a message board with its sister site Pastatherapy.com, and it's clearly a haven for pizza and pasta addicts.
I particularly like how the website owner's enthusiasm for pizza really shows in its contents. What it offers for its visitors is more than adequate, so it would be even nicer if the design was improved. |

Simply put, it's stuffed with advice for anyone who wants to make a career change. You can learn about writing a resume that will let you embark on a new career path, psyching yourself for something new, overcoming uncertainties, and learning new skills. It also has networking tips and recommendations on how you can determine which new career path you'll be following. On those points, I recommend this site.
Now for the cons:
Vertical scrolling down a lengthy page is pretty tedious. From what I remember, it's always advisable to be able to look at a website's main page in a couple of scrolls. The table of contents could be rearranged to avoid lengthy scrolling.
I was excited to look at the "Career Blogs" section and as it turns out, it's not really a collection of blogs, but seems more like a collection of articles on the subjects that the site promised to discuss. It would be good to have an actual working blog here and instead of separating each topic into a new blog, why not go with a blogging platform that allows one to categorize posts?
Overall, it needs a bit of work, but it shows promise. |

Simply put, it's an all-around acne guide, so if you've got a severe case of acne, consider this a godsend. It has an astounding number of acne-related articles and I can't imagine that any acne problem you have won't be solved by any of them. As of this writing, going to the URL immediately puts you smack in an article about benzoyl peroxide and its effectiveness in acne treatment. It would have been nice to have landed on a main page that serves as a proper introduction to the site, its purpose, and its contents.
The sidebar contains the full list of acne articles, and it's an impressive number. It discusses everything from treatment to adult acne, and even how acne scars can serve as a reminder of one's bad skin days. Not all of the articles are well-written, by the way, but nevertheless they still make for some pretty helpful sources. |

I personally wouldn't hire The Write Touch 4 U to handle all my copywriting needs, particularly because their website copy has quite a number of errors. It's not a promising sign at all. The company also offers its portfolio on the website, but I'm not too pleased with it, because you have to view the writing samples in Word, text, or PDF formats. Some of the texts are done a lot better than the copy on the website itself, so perhaps the services offered may be a lot more promising.
Layout-wise, it's very simple and easy to navigate, although due to the Google ads at the left sidebar, there's a large amount of black space at the bottom of the page, so this would need fixing. I also don't agree with the choice of font. Lucida Handwriting is never good on a website, and white text against a black background causes a fair bit of eye strain. With a redesign and a rewrite, this site would be very good. |

| Tango Design is all done up in girly colors: purple, magenta, you know the type. That's because they make wedding invitations, and other wedding-related items as well like titanium wedding rings. The website itself is pretty organized, doesn't have the best design, but it's pretty functional anyway. The content is neatly arranged and it's easy to see exactly where you want to go. The website also has an online ordering facility which lets customers pay for products using Paypal and it seems like an easy enough setup. It also has an order tracking feature, which is an extremely necessary addition. It would probably be a lot more helpful if photographs of the products were also shown on the main order page itself, just to make it easy. It's a good thing that the product information page also contains pictures and an ordering form. Its design doesn't make it look like a sleek and professional website, but its functionality seems to be pretty solid. |

I like clean-looking sites like this, so this one's look already gets a thumbs-up from me. Hobbyists and bird enthusiasts just starting out will find AttractWildBirds.com a great help, and even those with no background in this will find it an interesting site, if only for the tidbits about attracting birds. The person behind this website seems to have a real passion for the hobby, given the evidently excited writing and the personal points of view, so that's a good thing. It keeps the content from being stale, because the creator is eager to learn as much as possible about it.
The bird feeder topic also has its own section, which is mainly a blog about bird houses, care, and other related matters. Its online store, which works more like an auction, is also laid out simply. A fine site, all in all, but definitely one that targets bird enthusiasts. |

The Puddyshop is basically a portal to different sites and sections with content covering various topics. I'd like to see the main page itself look more organized instead of just having all the various sections and links thrown together haphazardly. It doesn't have to look super-stylish or something, a little organizing would do the trick. The 'About Us' section could also use a little more extra information other than saying "A site for publishing articles to help you gte more recongition for your works and your websites." I'm sure visitors would like to know more about it and who are the people behind it.
Otherwise, the topics, from food to humor, Internet marketing, and health matters, are pretty widely covered by its sections. Some articles appear to be misfiled though, because you can find a few Internet marketing articles in the humor and the health sections, and even financial advice in the health portion. |

Gymskinz is a pretty good-looking site. Its sections are neatly divided and you won't find ads and banners screaming at you. Obviously, it's an e-commerce site and it sells apparel specifically targeting people who take part in triathlons. A bunch of the shirts are humorous, although admittedly, some of the jokes might probably only be understood by triathletes. They're pretty clever and fun, though, and some might just be appropriate even for non-triathletes. I myself had a fun time looking through their product catalogue and I'm actually looking forward to seeing the upcoming "Nerdskinz" collection.
It also contains links to triathlon guides around the Web, which some people keen on getting started on training might find interesting. I was hoping the resource guide was actual original content by Gymskinz, though. Overall, there's not a lot of things you could find to complain about this site. It's a straightforward shopping site, nothing more. |

I thought the name 'Silk Road Consultants' was pretty, so I had to take a look at it. Obviously, it had something to do with China, and as a matter of fact, the group provides travel information for people who want to visit China.
Digging through the site's contents was fun. I like the travel advice given here, because they're all well-written and informative, but my main issue is: I thought they were focusing on China? The main page text said so. Then for some reason, some of the sections veer off into discussing, for example, horseback riding in Africa and travel and tourism in Sierra Leone. Doesn't seem very China-focused now, does it?
Then there are also sections for the Americas and for European travel. What's going on here? If they said they were "making a focus on China" then that's what they should have done here. If not, they should have said they provide travel information for different countries across the globe. As it turns out, "China Focus" is but a small section in the site, and the contents don't seem all that different from what the other sections have to offer. |

SaveMyGas.com promotes a book entitled "How To Keep More Cash In Your Pocket At The Gas Pump," but the site itself contains actual content and not just promotional texts. It talks about why fuel prices change rapidly (a very informative section, in my opinion), provides a comparison between gasoline and diesel, and also has downloadable PDF files of fuel economy guides. It also adds extra information on hybrid vehicles and ethanol, both of which are really making waves nowadays thanks to greater environmental awareness. These sections are well-written and everything's clearly explained. Design-wise, it has a simple look, and is a rarity in sites nowadays in that it isn't splattered with Google Ads all over the place.
One thing I found annoying is how clicking a link in the navigation menu would open a new window, and other navigation links clicked would also load in that other window. I find this annoying because it all could have just loaded in one window without any trouble. |

First, the layout: it's very clean and simple, but I'm not too sure about the size of the text. It's too small and many would probably complain that it's unreadable. The content in the main page is centered, but if you check out a few of the other sections of the site, the table is bumped to the right, so this needs some fixing. I viewed in both IE and Firefox and the site exhibited the same design problem.
The content: it's basically a job recruitment site, and it clearly describes its services. I thought it would have a substantial listing of available jobs, but unfortunately, it doesn't, and the database was last updated in January. It's not very promising in that respect. It also has a Career Advice section, and hopefully they can expand this in the future.
It still looks like a fairly new site, having been launched in January, but with the pace people usually take in developing sites and producing content nowadays, I'd have expected this to offer a lot more. It would also be a good idea to get some programmers on board and improve the functionality of the site. |

This is a very fun site to look through, if you enjoy this sort of thing. The person behind this site clearly has a passion for motion picture special effects and explains everything in great detail. It's probably best for people who can understand the terms used, but really, it's not bad at all for people who have little knowledge about these things.
Curiously, the site also provides a list of schools and universities. I'm not sure if all of them offer courses related to filmmaking and computer-generated special effects, though. It would be nice if there was a note mentioning this.
I can see it working best as a blog containing regular updates on the industry and the technology and equipment being used to make movie magic possible. It has a news section (last updated in February as of this writing), but it would be much more in its favor if it were updated a lot more frequently. |

The site consists of many sections delving into every possible aspect of heart disease and the layout just needs some polishing to really make it look good.
While the site discusses numerous topics on the matter and its scope is extensive, it has a major flaw: how its English text is written. It has a lot of errors which I'm sure will distract many from the subject and sometimes tend to be ineffective in expressing what it means or really wants to say. A shame, really. It proves to be a very good resource on heart disease, and with an English editor or a better writer, reading what this site has to offer would be a much better experience. |

I tried typing in my name, email address, and submitting the information, but all it turned up was 'object not found', even after I attempted it a couple more times. There might probably just be a problem with my connection or something, but in any case, this needs to be checked. Letting people get a sneak peek at the e-book available is a good way for the author/site owner to get more readers and buyers. |

Sure, it's placed at the left portion of the page, but each link takes you to the relevant page and when you look at it, the sidebar contains new content. Related to the topic on the page yes, but it's best for this to contain the common links throughout the entire site and put the topic's relevant links in a different section. Even the links in the top navigation bar change. The sitemap won't be of much help to visitors who want to see an organized division of the content, because it only lists down all the topics covered in the site.
Each article offers readers a way to get its permanent link or to bookmark it, but the link doesn't really do anything except redirect you to the same page. |

This offers limited information on Christian living and provides more by way of products. It would be interesting to see the content grow in the future, since the author/site creator raises some pretty interesting points in the few articles this site contains. The Bible Studies and the Christian Articles section do need more information in them if this site hopes to pull in Christian visitors. PrayAndWalk.com also has a Wordpress blog. This blog could be utilized to further discuss faith and religious matters, but it was only launched in April, so let's give more time for content to appear in this section.
The layout of the site can still be improved in order to be more attractive to people, and the site owners might find it in their favor to add some relevant ads as another way to earn from this website, if that's one of their goals. Perhaps an e-book would also be a nice marketing tool, especially if they have a lot to say about faith. |

They're nothing extraordinary, but they do have very useful information. I can see this getting a lot more attention if it contained a regularly-updated blog which would talk about home businesses, career change for older people, as well as any news related to that topic, that way the content is always new. It's a pretty pleasing source of information on this topic, I believe, and the people behind this website would do well to keep the articles updated. I would also like to see how they will monetize the site and how they'll promote it--perhaps a free e-book is in order, so people can get a taste of the tips they have to offer here. |

Once you get into the rest of the pages, you will find that there's not much of a website there, since the design aspect just flew out of the window. That's not to say that this totally fails as a website. It still contains useful information, but text and ads on pure white space, without being laid out like a proper website, can be a bit off-putting. Hopefully, the people behind this site will get to work on fixing the design of each page. Ads would also be a great help in monetizing this, and perhaps even RSS feeds of related topics just to keep the content fresh. |

Review Title: Interesting |

Being a big fan of English, words, grammar, and spelling, I have to admit that I really love this site. It has a lot of fun and quirky trivia on homophones and homonyms, and the English language itself, even. It's probably not going to be of much interest to those people with no fondness for this topic, but language and word buffs will have a fun time here.
The site also promotes the creator's e-book dealing with the same topics as well, and you can easily see the link to the sales page at the top of the main page. From what one can see of the website's contents, it looks like this is going to be an interesting e-book to read. I also think the design needs to be livened up a little just to make it a lot more attractive to look at. More strategically placed ads would also be a great help. |

| It doesn't have the most sophisticated design, but it looks good anyway, and besides, the sections are arranged well, so that is a pretty helpful thing for visitors to this site. Golf is a pretty big thing for a lot of people, and I really think this website addressed every single topic pertaining to golf, so there's no doubt that hardcore golf enthusiasts will have a blast looking through this one. It talks about the game itself, golf clubs and drivers, the right shoes, exercises, tips, golf vacations--you name it. One thing I think it really should consider having is a message board so golf fans and players from all over can get together, swap information on the game, and possibly meet up and make friends. That would indeed be a great traffic booster, and with most of the ads specifically mentioning golf-related things, a big money-maker as well. |

| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| At first glance, you may get the impression that this page is just a sales page for the main product, which is an e-book on taking care of bonsai trees. But you will find that scrolling to the very bottom of the page will show you links to the other section of the website, though, and this section contains a mine of information on bonsai care. If this section is meant to be a sampler of what you can expect from the e-book being promoted on the main page, you are going to be very disappointed. It purports to be a list of articles discussing different aspects of bonsai care, from art, gardening itself, and seeds, among a bunch of different subjects. It turns out that each HTML page just shows the same text, over and over and over. The creator should do his or her potential customers a favor and really produce some nice articles on the topic, just to show off a bit of know-how. Even a few well-written ones will do. |

| This site looks very neat and organized, and the content is nicely written as well. It has quite a lot of articles talking about every aspect of cholesterol and this would be very helpful for those with concerns in this area, and best of all, the articles are pretty good as well. It might be nice if it also featured regular updates and perhaps even some medical news and food trends that have impact on cholesterol. I think it could use a lot of improvement in the design area, though, just to make this more of an attractive site to visit. Regular updates would also help a lot, as well as a message board wherein readers and visitors could congregate and discuss health issues. That would really shoot site traffic way up. It is a pretty promising website, although of course, changes are still in order to really make this stand out from other health websites out there. |

This is a very cute website! Drop by for a while and see for yourself how it looks. I have a bit of issue with this site though because while it says on some pages that "You are now on a secure webpage," my browser says otherwise, and pops up with a warning that the pages may have unauthenticated content. It makes me think that it's so easy for some sites to have a badge claiming to be safe while not actually BEING safe and secure. It won't be good for this site's credibility if this is indeed the case, so I hope it really IS a secure site.
Before I visited the site, I thought the name Home and Family would also mean the site includes a range of products for the house, like furniture or something, but it actually focuses more on educational toys, baby products, and other items for children. They don't have a totally massive product catalogue, but it offers a pretty adequate collection, nonetheless. |

Review Title: Could do more than just promote e-books |
| Date Reviewed: May 19, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
Expect to get a lot of information on relevant e-books here, not just on one's physical well-being, but also on skin care (acne, specifically) and even emotional health. This site basically promotes the author's e-books, nothing more, so I would recommend putting in a couple of articles in each section just to show visitors a sample of what they can expect from the e-books, if they're interested in purchasing any, and the articles should reflect the quality of the e-book's contents. The website can be so much more than a simple promotional tool for the e-books.
I must say that the introductions to each e-book amuses me a bit, because they're sometimes written in a dramatic way, like the one about cholesterol and obesity. That's a different way of garnering attention for each product, though, so I suppose it's fine, plus they can reflect personal experiences, which could pull in the people who can relate to each anecdote. |

| I had a look at this site about a month ago out of sheer curiosity. I had no idea the buying and selling hay would even garner interest from people, so I was pretty intrigued by it, but apparently it does. It has a very organized bidding process and it also clearly talks about how it works, as well as some very clear guidelines members should follow when taking part in the auctions. This is indeed a website/forum/online auction targeting only a very specific audience and may even be a bit of a risky endeavor in that respect, but it already has over 600 members, so the site owner must know something I don't :) I know nothing about hay, but I can say that this a pretty great tool for people who need help in this field. I'm actually looking forward to seeing each of the categories filled up. |

| This is an excellent site! Not only is it nicely designed, but all of the sections are complete, not a broken image or link in sight. It also subtly promotes the author's books, which is a pretty refreshing change. Fitness buffs and people who are interested in making the move towards being physically fit will find this a very good site to bookmark and regularly visit. Now all this needs is some really heavy promotion, perhaps a place for people to interact as well, and some strategically positioned ads and it's all set. Perhaps a blog would be really good as well, one that not only focuses on fitness and healthy eating, but would also give readers some insight on who Valerie Slaughter is, just to make it a lot more personal and interactive, and perhaps to even build a good readership. Definitely a must-bookmark, and I hope it will be regularly updated because this is really a promising website. |

| I like the nice and humble approach of the website's text. Instead of proclaiming that she's the world's best-ever copywriter you could ever hope to hire, the site owner and writer admits that she isn't, but does proudly proclaim that she has a way with words. That's a different way of going about things. The layout leaves much to be desired while the content itself probably just needs a bit of fixing up. I would also personally like to see some writing samples and a portfolio of the site owner/writer, just to build a little more confidence in her skills. Still, she made use of testimonials to prove her mettle as a writer, so that's a smart move. Overall, it's not the best-looking site you could ever hope to see, but it's simple and more organized than most, and the text is a bit engaging too. Not a bad effort. |

Oh, thank goodness this has a regularly updated blog. Of course, the site looks like it's still quite new, so perhaps the owner still makes it a point to post, but I hope he'll keep up with the blog posting, because the content is top notch. Perhaps some heavier promotion is in order, just to get more traffic and comments pouring in.
As for the site's look, it's very nice. It's easy on the eyes and the colors are mild, plus the ads are all neatly situated on one side so they're not cluttering the entire site. The site's sections are nothing to sneeze at either. The tips and the articles are well-written and you can definitely say this is a good source of information on dog breeds and care. The information on dog breeds in particular is stellar because of the detail. Thumbs up. You will definitely enjoy looking through this site. |

This site promises an ethical and white-hat way to boost your site's rankings with search engine optimization. Its service details and descriptions are clear enough that you will unmistakably know exactly what they are all about.
Layout-wise, this is very plain and clean, but still highly attractive. The navigation menu is obvious and you'll definitely be able to quickly find what you're looking for. It also plays host to a lot of great content and articles to help you out and they will also build your confidence in the person or company behind this website. The site's e-book is also discreetly advertised where appropriate. As for ads, this site makes minimal use of them, which is a shame because since this is a good quality site, it can attract a lot of clicks and earnings.
Overall a very good site, just in need of a few tweaks here and there. |

The design is simple, refreshing, and quite neat. As for the content, it will leave you in no doubt that the person behind this site knows his stuff, given the amount of information about boxer dogs. This is really a very good website for people owning dogs or those who are interested in getting a boxer as a pet. The information is quite complete plus the layout makes it all very readable.
The site owner also understands the importance of good pictures when it comes to websites, so this contains a lot of interesting photographs. Great resource, great design, great content. Even if you don't have a dog or have no plans to get one, this can still be an interesting website for you to browse through. Especially with the trivia page, which is a fun little touch.
It would be nice if some of the sections were automated though and if it also contained ads for a little extra money. |

| First of all, the layout: it looks almost professional, and the colors, though the palette contains dark red, are still pretty subdued and muted. It also contains a great number of health and fitness-related articles which are all very well-written and helpful. It's also extremely easy to navigate through this website, and everything is categorized properly. Definitely a good-looking website AND also a very good place to go to if you need some information on health and fitness. I imagine this would be a lot better though if it took the opportunity to make a little extra cash with ads. Since it's a good enough website with plenty to offer, I don't think it will be difficult for it to rake in some earnings. Here's hoping that this site will be updated a lot more frequently. It looks very promising that it will be a shame if it's just left out there. |

The verdict: an interesting website, and an equally interesting subject. This one has a very simple and somber design. The layout makes everything simple to navigate through and all the sections are well-organized. I have to say this is pretty unique though, and looking through the website alone should satisfy anyone's curiosity. After all, it's not everyday that everyone encounters something like a fighting priest.
You can get a good glimpse of the featured priest's life, family, and work by just going around the website. Not only will you learn a great deal about his personal life, but you can also read up on his interests, hobbies, and his vocation. I wouldn't call him a conventional topic for a website, but that indeed makes the site very unique. It's bound to be a very intriguing site to visit for everybody, so I think this is really worth a look. Thumbs up. |

The layout is very simple, nothing spectacular, more template-like than anything else, really. To give this a bit of attitude, a redesign would be really nice. All the pages of this site are also very rich in ads, but at least they're positioned in such a way that you won't think that they're the main highlights of each section.
The navigation menu is also far too long and disorganized. It would be nice if the sections of this website were kept to a minimum and several parts were combined in one umbrella category.
One of the main positive points about this website is the rich amount of resources and articles it offers its visitors. But what's much more important than that is that these articles are well-written and definitely of good quality. The contents of this site will surely be attractive to a lot of people who need some information on automobiles. |

| This site carries a lot of products, all of which are widely promoted all throughout the website. The design is very simple and makes it very easy for visitors to get around its different sections, though indeed its appearance could stand to be improved much more. It does a great job of showcasing samples of the author's/creator's works to give you an idea about the qualities of the products up for sale. It also gives away freebies, which are samples of his storybooks. A very good move to entice visitors into coming back, especially if his stuff is exceptional. People interested in becoming an affiliate can also find it easy to do so, since this site has a special page that explains everything about the affiliate program. You might find this to be a good multimedia site as well, since it also makes use of videos as a way to showcase the content. All in all, it fulfills its duty as a promotional site. |

I like the white and blue colors of this site, it makes everything look so clean. The layout is also pretty simple and makes the site easy to navigate, with all the sections neatly divided.
Anyway, WhatAreDiamonds.com focuses mainly on diamonds with the purpose of helping guests to the site learn more about picking a good engagement ring. If you take the website content as it is, you would think that it's all very well-written and very smart. I did a bit of checking over Google however and found that most of the texts here are really quite similar to a bunch of other diamond websites out there, which definitely doesn't help in making this site original. You would have to check all the different pages to find this out, though. Perhaps the site owner could have hired a ghostwriter to at least rewrite the content being used here just to make it more different from other diamond websites. |

The site's blog has a design that fits in quite nicely with the rest of the website, so I'd really love to find out what kind of blogging platform this site uses. I believe the posts should be a lot more frequent though so visitors can make this a source of regular news and updates on the topic. Two posts a month definitely won't attract people.
However, the website itself might just be able to do the trick. The site looks very nice and neat, and makes it easy for visitors to browse the contents. This is just packed with lots of information and would be very helpful for keen gardeners. It would be interesting to check out the free e-zine being offered as well. I haven't looked at it myself, since I'm not sure it's wise to sign up for a newsletter on a topic I'm not too interested in :D Although judging from the content, I think I'm pretty confident that the e-zine's pretty good, too. |

This site boasts a great selection of products and resources on birds, bird care, and the necessary materials. It's mainly an online store, which has a pretty good shopping cart and payment system in place. But more than that, it is also meant to be a source of information. Unfortunately, I took a look at the articles section and none of the links work save for the single PDF file available for download. Too bad, because based on the quality of the site, it looks like it should also have some top-notch articles in it as well. The blog could also do with regular updates.
What I especially approve of about this website is that it's set up to support a bird sanctuary. Always refreshing to see a site promoting a good cause. All in all, I think bird lovers and owners would find this a highly satisfactory site to support their interests.
Overall, a great site for people seeking to launch a career as writers. |

This website promotes an e-book that contains a hypnotherapy diploma course. It also has a nice little feature near the bottom of the page which consists of a dropdown menu and a text field underneath. The dropdown contains commonly asked questions, to which the answers appear in the text field, very helpful. It also hopes to help possible buyers be more confident about the product by providing a brief sample from the e-book's introduction and directing people to a forum to learn more about the product being sold.
As a website, though, it's nothing exceptional, it just contains the main page with the sales letter and other related information about the topic and the product, as well as some links. It uses the same basic design used for sales pages out there and even the design of the forum is very simple. The content is at least written nicely and does help you get an overview of the product. |

The introductory text on the main page is written in a fascinatingly perky manner and promises 'dozens of pages' on the topic at hand. And indeed it delivers. It has plenty of articles on different topics from (herbal product-related) weight loss, gardening, health matters, etc. Definitely a lot of content you can spend a long time looking through, and ones that will keep you coming back. Interestingly, it also offers a diploma course in medicinal herbs and you can even get some start-up business tips. Most importantly, this tells you everything you need or want to know about herbs and gardening.
The layout is nothing spectacular, but it does a good job of presenting what this site has to offer. Very basic look and easy to navigate. The number of ads is reasonable and they don't clutter up the site either. All in all, it's a very nice site that doesn't skimp on content. |

If you're not nitpicky about layout details, then you wouldn't have a problem with this site. I am, however, and I find that layout discrepancies in different sections of this site tend to be quite distracting. It would be really nice if the elements were all organized in the same way throughout the entire website.
But otherwise, this has lots of information on traveling to and around the Caribbean and people who want to tour the area will find this very helpful. From places to visit, accommodations, food, events, and activities, you will learn quite a lot about the various sights. You can also check out external links to other related sites, though I think it would have been nice if the site owner consider becoming an affiliate of other sites as well. This also makes use of ad support (Google Adsense, Amazon).
Basically this site is quite good, it just needs some extra help on the layout aspect. |

Somehow, it is more like a...shall we say, one person's fansite devoted to certain kinds of motorbikes. The good thing about this though is that it contains a lot of interesting tidbits about the bikes as well as really highlights what the site is all about. However, I noticed that it's supposed to have a message board, and when I went to check it out, such a page doesn't exist. It would be nice if the owner would activate this feature and I imagine it could be a nice hub for people with similar interests. All in all, it's a simple but quite good site. It could benefit more with interactivity and constant updates. After all, static sites aren't simply enough nowadays. |

Review Title: Content-filled |
| Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
A great site for all writers and aspiring writers. This is totally full of advice for people who want to make a living out of writing, and you're sure to learn a whole lot from it. The articles compiled in this site all make sense and tackle virtually every aspect of writing, so bookmark this if you need a little push or some help.
The layout is very simple, but it works just nicely. It keeps all the details in order and it's easy to navigate as well. I have a problem with the way the links pop in new windows, however. Something like that should only be done when the link directs to a different website. In this site's case, all links should just be able to open in only one window. Otherwise, I have no other problems with the site and urge you to give this a look if you need help with writing. |

Review Title: Some errors need fixing |
| Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
This Christian community website looks fairly attractive. It is laid out in a simply, easy-to-navigate format and has a lot of features that can keep its members busy and interested. Everything looks clean and organized and the site also made use of ads to monetize this project.
However, I think this could stand to be improved a little bit more. For example, there are broken links all over the place and it would be nice if they get around to fixing these. It will be a bit of a letdown if the members and visitors want to access the resources but be derailed by the broken link. It would also count against the site and what resources it may have won't be seen. Apart from those concerns, this site is very promising and the owner should continue to improve its contents and functionality. I'm looking forward to checking this out again in the future to see if any improvements have been made. |

This site is basically a promotional page for a number of products related to headline writing. I reckon that people who will benefit from and be interested in this are those running online--and even offline--businesses who need good, eyecatching copy for their products. It makes use of a lot of recommended tactics for sites of this kind, such as offering bonuses and including testimonials.
Layout-wise, I can't really say much about it, apart from looking like a simple one-column site that present all the necessary details about a particular product. Also, while it doesn't have any actual content related to the topic--and it would have been nice if it had any--the text on the site is very engaging and should keep you interested to learn more about Headline Creator Pro. I would say this is worth a look if you need a product of this kind. |

Review Title: Design needs sprucing up |
| Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| Straightaway, any visitor will think that this website lacks a really inviting look. True, the design leaves much to be desired. The inside pages contain photographs, but it would have been a lot better if it actually had a nicely made design, with colors, photos, icons, etc. Looking at it won't make people intrigued in the topic and it should also have a clear navigation menu so you know the sections of the site. I think more thought should have gone into its appearance, just to make it look more attractive. Otherwise, the content is very good, and it does read like a travelogue. Hopefully, people can look past the layout and check out the articles more thoroughly. It tells the visitor quite a lot about the location being discussed and provides plenty of information on the traveling experience. I object to the bottom menu, which are just links to eBay auctions. This needs to be redone a bit, with the ads and affiliate programs being organized better, but the content is quite nice. |

Review Title: Nice articles and samples |
| Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
This contains a lot of interesting articles, some of them prologues from related e-books, others are standalone articles offered by the website itself. Everything is well-organized so you know right away which section to check out and what it contains. You will also find it easy to get an overview of the courses and products they offer, plus they appear to have a pretty good payment system put in place.
All in all, it's a good website with a simple design and enough content to give you a taste of what they offer--the e-books for example offer lengthy samplers. Nothing too complicated, but it fulfills its purpose. Take the time to look through this if you're in need of some guidance because the examples are quite inspiring and thought-provoking. The layout probably just needs a little bit of touching up, but otherwise, the entire site is more than adequate. |

Review Title: Has lots of good stuff, but... |
| Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
The ad scrunched on the right side of the introductory text is really quite distracting and takes the reader's attention away from what the site owner is saying about it. It would probably be best if this ad was taken out and placed in a less distracting spot. Ads are important, true, but not important enough to be the focal point of a site, eclipsing the actual content. The site has a simple layout and it's easy to navigate.
Anyway, this site comes in several languages, interesting decision. I have to say it also has a pretty decent article database. The articles are simple but nicely written, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing more content from this site in the future. However, it would probably be a good idea to include pictures of each place in every article. Not a bad site all in all, it would just benefit from a few tweaks. |

This is a very simple and basic-looking website, but that counts as a good point in this case. It was made using a site builder, so don't be surprised if it looks similar to a lot of new niche websites.
This website is full of interesting articles and facts about aromatherapy, guaranteed to be of great help for people who are keen on learning more about it. The articles cover pretty much all the topics you need to know about when it comes to aromatherapy, and although they are not perfectly written, they are still really educational. This is a fairly good starter site and I certainly hope this will be expanded and improved upon in the future, particularly when it comes to the grammar. The errors can be somewhat distracting, so it would be a good idea to fix these.
All in all, however, it's quite a pleasing website, definitely one that shows the site owner's interest in the topic. |

| I say this site is very helpful for people who have always had an interest in doing their own computer repairs or upgrades. The instructions are written in a very simple way, making it easy for readers or visitors to understand the whole procedure, and it also has an entire glossary of terms to ensure that you won't be confused by anything you might encounter when reading the directions. Apart from talking about computer repair, it also contains product reviews as well as website building guidelines. The site is laid out quite simply and is very easy to navigate. It also makes use of the occasional picture to identify certain computer parts. Best of all, you can easily have access to support pages for any questions. But what I especially like about this site is how it seems to speak personally to the visitor, without any confusing jargon or as if it talks down to the newbie DIY computer technician. Top notch job. |

| Date Reviewed: August 06, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
It's not the most attractively designed website, but if you're just here to check out various sports-related products, then I suppose its appearance will do, since it places the products front and center. It also has a few (specifically three) articles related to sports memorabilia collecting which I'm sure people would find quite useful. It would be a lot better if it had more content though, or perhaps even a regularly updated blog. You can also see its rich selection of pages at the sidebar and take a look at all the available merchandise on other websites of which CollectibleSport.com is an affiliate.
This will definitely capture the attention of collectors, but I would recommend a little makeover for the website, just to make it livelier and more pleasing to the eye. Apart from those minor issues, this is a pretty good site that will likely be heavily visited by people sharing this interest. |

There's something about the design and the font size that somehow confuses me, making me wonder where the actual content starts. Perhaps a little extra tweaking is in order, like possibly having the links in bold and making the navigation sections stand out a bit more. Otherwise, this is really quite fresh and pleasing to the eyes. I would recommend moving the ads around just to make more room for the content, though, because it seems more attention is given to the ads rather than the articles.
Apart from that, this seems like a very nice website with a lot of helpful information for mothers, from family matters to health issues and even home decorating. The content is worthwhile, interesting, entertaining, and well-written, though I really must stress that the number of ads needs to be toned down a little. I would also recommend some pictures to go with the articles just to serve as visual aids. |

Golf buffs will have a nice time on this site, as well as people who are simply seeking to improve their golf game. Now I don't know a whole lot of things about golf, but the advice contained here seems pretty reasonable to me. The sidebar alone will show you that this site covers a wealth of topics, and everything is written in an uncomplicated way, making it easy to understand. The site owner's bio page is interesting though. Not only does he talk about his life and experiences, but it also contains promotion for Site Build It! Probably not the best way to promote something, but at least he managed to squeeze it in where necessary.
The layout is nothing exceptional, but it does the job of keeping the contents and sections in order. All in all, it's a highly recommended website, most especially for fans of the sport. |

Sustainable living articles are the specialty of Article Garden, and with environmental awareness being a big thing nowadays, this site is more than up to the job of keeping up with the trends in that arena. It is simply full of information that any visitor probably wouldn't know where to look first, but all the articles are well-written, so you can pretty much click any one of them and be well-informed on the subject right away.
Design-wise, this one looks rather pretty. It does look a bit busy, though, like there's so many things going on and so many links or buttons you should be reading or checking out, but at least it's not bland. It is also sufficiently supported by ads, just check out the sidebar.
Overall, this is a top-quality website and you wouldn't be disappointed. Bookmark this one if you want to learn more about environmental matters and how to live in an eco-friendly manner. |

| This site has a particularly organized and clean layout, making it look professional and very neat. It doesn't make use of any flashy effects or excessively bright colors, but is nonetheless attractive and eyecatching. You will note that it also receives some ad support, though not of the kind that will distract you from the site itself As for the content, it's quite well-written, which will help you get a clear idea what it is all about just by looking at the homepage, since it doesn't mince words about the products and services it offers. The content is also available in several different languages, which is a big help for international users as well. All in all, this is a very simple and easy-to-navigate website that does its job well, and will even be useful for people in need of a product such as those it offers. It doesn't have broken links, as far as I've seen, and it neatly organizes its sections, too. |

The layout looks a bit like a template, but it's not bad, since it keeps the contents organized and it's easy on the eyes. For a site dealing with the topic of holistic wellness, I kind of expected a design that is a little more light and airy to go with the topic, but the current one will do. As for the content, I think this site needs a lot of help. The introductory texts are more than satisfactory, but the number of its articles really needs to be jacked up a bit. It needs a heftier article database to keep people informed and interested. The online store is okay, however, and you will find a lot of relevant products here.
Overall, it's a site that looks good and promising, though it really needs to deliver more articles for its readers. I'm looking forward to seeing more articles on this website. |

| My first impression: it has quite a nice and professional-looking layout. It's probably not right up there with the best and cleanest-looking websites, but it's a good start. Besides, the colors are calming and the site sections are arranged in good order, so consider them as good points. I'm not fond of the URL though, personally. "Resuccesslink" sounds a bit unusual and doesn't really say that it's related to real estate. Some other URL with the words "real estate" in it would probably be more effective in telling people what its main focus is all about. I also checked the list of courses being offered and while they all seem pretty good, majority of the images in this page are unfortunately broken, so this would really need fixing. All in all, it's really promising, I honestly think so, but a lot of work needs to be done to make it even better. |

I can imagine that this would a raving success with people into crafts and hobbies of a similar nature. The site is basically a sales page for a product promising to provide help one succeed in craft shows, but apart from that, it also contains some sections that can draw in some interest and visitors as well, such as linked resources and articles. I think the article page could stand to be improved even more, though. More articles would be a nice start. It doesn't have to have hundreds of articles, but perhaps ten written works would sufficiently keep people interested and well-informed.
I was also hoping the site's design itself would be improved upon. For something promising craft show success, it would have been a nice touch if the site creator also took great care in presenting a pretty and polished website to the visitors. That would really impress people. |

Ah, how interesting. It seems like the Terminator Dongle itself is phased out, obsolete, irrelevant, and something newer and much more effective has sprung up to take its place. The site's text itself says so, but it's all right that it still uses the www.terminatordongle.com URL, since the tactic will help retain the site's visitors AND keep them updated too, although it might be nice if it redirected to a newer, more relevant URL.
The premise is intriguing and will surely be helpful for people who own Sony Ericsson mobile phones. However, I checked out the blog for any additional information and alas, it was last updated in August of last year. Too bad. Something like really should be kept fresh and current if it hopes to capture a lot of fans. It's a simple enough site and is quite interesting, but hopefully we will see further updates again someday. |

| The Positive Conflicts website is a very simple one. It consists of a straightforward sales page with all the necessary elements: ordering information, the sales letter, a sample e-book you could get for free, a second page that could give you a look as to what the site or product can do for you. The second page which contains some pretty hefty content, while simply being a sample and not the actual book/course, can really make you think about yourself, your relationships, and how you deal with conflicts, too. It's a promising and, like I said, pretty straightforward website. It probably would have been nicer if the person behind this created an About Me page as a way to introduce himself to the readers and boost their confidence in his wisdom and credentials, as well as some other sections just to keep the visitors occupied and possibly even informed. |

This is the website of a woman who creates covers for e-books for many site owners and writers. It's a promising example of a website of this sort, since it enables the artist to showcase her works and also show people how this sort of thing should be done. She has a portfolio which you can view and you can see for yourself that she has done quite a number of covers already and they are all really quite nice. The artist has been working with Adobe Photoshop for almost a decade now, so I suppose it's easy to understand how she got so good at what she does.
The site itself is very simple, nicely designed, and contains enough relevant sections to keep you occupied. She does a good job with this website, and right now, there's an announcement that it will be updated, so I'm really looking forward to any changes she will come up with. |

With its appearance, I'm not too sold on it being a good place to host one's personal blog, since for the most part, I've gotten used to sites like that looking a lot cleaner and more professional. I checked out some of the blogs hosted here as well and the templates used mainly look amateurish, at best, and there's this odd Bizzy Blogs badge placed at the bottom of each weblog. It's quite distracting and sticks out like a sore thumb, I have to say. I think this might be an okay place for you if you're still getting the feel of blogging, but I personally can't imagine how much better this option would be than all the other free bloghosts available nowadays. Looks like rethinking this site would be a good move. |

| It's nice and simple, and the design really is cute (thanks to Site Build It!, apparently), if a bit plain, but what caught my attention is the lack of ads on the front page. Granted, some site owners still waffle about inserting ads in pages, but for a content-filled website like this, it makes for a solid resource that would have a lot of people coming in, so it's best to make use of ads just to make some extra income. Thankfully, there are skyscraper ads in the inside pages. Anyway, this has pretty much everything you need to know about writing, so if you need help in this arena, check out this page and you'll find exactly what you're looking for. A lot of the pages are really well-written, a stellar example of practicing what one preaches, I think! Also a good source of information for making websites and promoting and selling books. |

The layout makes it very easy for people to find what they're looking for. As for the content itself, you won't have any trouble getting the information you need either. I particularly like how this has a comprehensive Glossary section to help visitors understand any terms they will encounter. The site really presents what the company has to offer and does so in an easy way, without distracting the visitor with any other unnecessary details. I think this would be really helpful for those with real estate concerns. This would probably benefit from being much more than a static site, though, and would be a lot more helpful for people if it also offered regularly scheduled, original articles, just for it to be able to offer fresh content and current advice. |

The design is very simple, and very dark. I rather think the colors stay true with the edgy mood of the kind of music this company produces, but I believe it could still look a lot better. It mainly gives you a background of the company, but is mostly an online store where you can purchase the music they have produced.
The site also has a brief audio introduction of the company, and I think it would have done well to have included more audio samples of their music throughout the site. It would be a great sampler for potential customers thinking about using their products. Perhaps a more extensive client list will also be good, as well as a blog which can give visitors a look into how the industry works. That will definitely be something attention-getting, and could even boost their site traffic. A good job all in all, and is in need of only some minor tweaks. |

The site gets a lot of support from Google Adsense banner ads, all of which are properly targeted and relevant. I only wish the sections were a lot more organized to make for better reading, and the ads can detract from the main focus of this or that page. You may also want to check out the blog, since it has a lot of softball-related updates. The column, which looks like it comes out every couple of months may also be of great help. A decent website overall, but the layout just needs to be better organized, and it also needs a neater navigation system. I would also like to see this with a more substantial database of articles in the future. |

One thing that took me quite by surprise was the fact that the different sections of this site all have different layouts. It would have been a lot nicer if the look was consistent, even if it's solely for the sake of aesthetics, and also to keep visitors from feeling like they're straying into different websites with every click they do. Apart from that, I highly recommend this site. Pretty much everything you need to know about your home can be found here and it contains a lot of helpful information. Review Title: More work needed |
| Date Reviewed: September 13, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| It's a fairly small and quite promising website, though I really wish a lot of the content wasn't exclusive to site members. It would probably gain a lot more interest if it provided even a short sampler of recipes and content for non-members and curious passersby. That would really help in jacking up their membership database, and it will also create greater interest in what else they have to offer. As for the layout, it's really simple, and the colors are good enough and not dull at all. The news page's content is scant, so more work needed here, please, and the broken links on the sidebar definitely need fixing. You will also find that the online store has a much more than adequate catalogue, and shopping here is safe because every transaction takes place on Amazon anyway. The site is generally all right, but it should do more to accommodate non-members. |

Review Title: A cleanup would be nice |
| Date Reviewed: September 13, 2007 |

| Two words: very cluttered. It has far too many navigation sections which are all used for the same purpose anyway, and the design is just unappealing and doesn't draw the eye to a certain spot. It can also be annoying to be bombarded by ads ads ads everywhere, especially if it's the first thing you see instead of the content, an obvious ploy to get people to click them. Apart from that, this really does have a lot of content to offer. The content varies, and you're sure to find something here that will hold your interest. It may even keep you glued to the website for quite a while. The articles aren't bad at all, interesting even, it's just the layout that may wear out your eyes a bit. I think it's a good site already, but it could be made much better with fewer ads and better organization. |

Review Title: Lots of good content |
| Date Reviewed: September 13, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| Hmm, interesting website. Don't be confused by the "Paradise Philippines" keywords scattered all over a website dealing mainly with computer repair. It looks like it's just a tactic to win an SEO competition, and I do wonder if it's done wonders for this site's traffic. Anyway, the website deals with computer repair issues and it does a pretty good job on that point. This has a whole slew of computer-related topics, more issues than you can shake a stick at, so you can expect to leave this site knowing a whole lot more about looking after your computer than when you started out. I suppose one of my main complaints about this site is that the colors are too dull, and it's just so text-heavy and it would really be nice if there were photographs to highlight each article. It also get a lot of ad support, so I expect this makes satisfactory earnings, especially given the topic it addresses. |

Review Title: Would be nice if this were revived |
| Date Reviewed: September 13, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| I'm personally not all too impressed with this one, mainly because it hasn't been updated in a year. To me, it looks a lot like the owner has already given up on the site, which is too bad since I think it could have helped a lot of people. It would probably be better, however, if it had loads more content to offer and if it said right off the bat what kind of site it is and how people can use it. I noticed it also endorsed a certain e-book here, one which wasn't impressive in any way. I really hope the rest of the recommendations are much better than that one. What would really have helped this site, I think, is if it enlisted the services of an editor, or at least someone who can write well. It looks like the site's creator isn't a native English speaker, and the text on some of the posts can really count against the site. |

Review Title: A nice little site |
| Date Reviewed: September 24, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
With a name like "The Cooking Recipes Advisor," I was expecting a substantial compendium of recipes, but Faguebaz.com turned out to be quite different from what I thought it was. The site mainly provides the history and background information on different types of cuisine around the world, which makes for interesting reading. While it contains some very basic recipes, it also focuses more on cooking tips you can apply in the kitchen, guides on buying the ingredients for your dishes, as well as nutrition information for the health-conscious.
Unfortunately, the site is also littered with grammatical errors. With a little extra tweaking, it would be a breeze to read through.
Overall, if you're looking for a database of recipes, this site won't be of much help to you. But it does make a great guide to food preparation and there are plenty of tips you might like to clip and keep handy whenever you're preparing a meal. |

Review Title: Would be better with more offerings |
| Date Reviewed: September 24, 2007 |

| People who create e-books for selling or distributing may find Digycat a useful website. Apparently, it's a company that creates digital catalogues, and one of their services include creating e-books. The main page will basically tell you everything there is you need to know about them and their products, and it's too bad because they could have really branched out with their website's content, just to offer more information. I checked out their site tracker, by the way, and it really looks like this could do with a whole lot more promotion, because the numbers are frankly dismal. Perhaps it needs to do more optimization to target its desired market. A neat job was done on this website, really, it just needs to look more inviting and have a lot more content to keep visitors here. As a business, it would also do well to have some customer testimonials, too. |

Review Title: Good work |
| Date Reviewed: September 24, 2007 |

| An excellent and noteworthy detail: This has just been recently updated, which I think already puts it a step ahead of other niche websites. It makes use of an interesting background image which adds a bit more appeal to the site itself, although it's not very good if you're using a high resolution or a widescreen monitor. Not a major issue, really, just some aesthetics thing for me, personally. It also makes use of numerous popular blogging tools and widgets (MyBlogLog and Technorati, for example) and is amply supported by ads as well, though you may find them a bit intrusive in certain sections. The posts are at least interesting and written well enough, but you may find the "About Us" section a tad too awkward. This could probably improve some more with a little extra work on the grammar, but otherwise, it appears to be doing a fine job at the moment. |

Review Title: More improvement and this will be even better |
| Date Reviewed: September 24, 2007 |

| If you're in need of ideas for crafts projects, you won't find this site wanting. This has a lot of ideas for all kinds of crafts, whether you need something for metalwork or needlework. You'll notice that this has a lot of relevant ads, although there's this one banner that sits right on top of all the text when I view it in my browser; that would need fixing. The content is also pretty well-written, and it's generally grammatically correct, which is a characteristic some other niche sites lack, unfortunately and is even great in this case, being a Panama-based website. The tips here are pretty interesting, though, but I'd like to see more original content being offered and not just ones taken off other article databases. Still, it has a nice collection of articles which crafts addicts and enthusiasts will enjoy. Some design tweaks and more additions like the photos from a recent expo and this will be much better. |

Review Title: Information-packed |
| Date Reviewed: October 17, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
I tried to sign up to receive the ten free herbal tea remedies promised on the website, but I'm guessing that some part of the site is faulty because I only received a 404 error saying that the thank you page doesn't exist, so this portion would definitely need to be fixed. However, it is a very good thing that this doesn't block any new sign-ups; it's just a problem with the missing page, and your registration will still come in. In fact, I received the brief and interesting sample a few minutes later.
Now the website itself is quite a read. It's not just a mere sales page for the author's product (The package includes a copy of Fad Free! as a bonus. Excellent product, that one.), which happens to be very affordable, but it has several informative articles talking about various health issues.
You'll notice however that there's a link to the sample e-book's download page. I personally would recommend getting rid of this, if the author wishes to build his list by getting sign-ups for the e-book. All in all, the site is pretty reliable, and much more informative than it is at first glance. |

Review Title: Ad- and content-filled |
| Date Reviewed: October 17, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
| The St. Aiden's Homeschool website has a very nice, welcoming look, although I do take issue with the number of ads scattered all over the site. Yes, ads are important, but for a website like this, it seems like it's a better idea if the description of the services itself wasn't overpowered by the presence of the ads. Other than that, this does have a lot of fun little sections that will keep you interested for quite a while. Layoutwise, some sections need to be tweaked so as to look consistent with the rest of the other pages. If you want to know more about homeschooling, or are interested in some activities you can do and how you can approach homeschooling, then this is indeed a very nice site to visit. I really only recommend that the number of ads be toned down because they tend to be a little distracting. |

| Nice, refreshing, and simple, plus all the posts really are very interesting. The name itself will also grab you: "Pajama Professional." Now that really lets you know that this site is all about: being successful doing business in your pajamas. I love how this doesn't scream out for you to buy anything, how it isn't riddled with typos, and how good the posts are. The blog is quite regularly updated and should keep you interested for some time, given the nice and easy flow of writing as well as the useful topics. The site itself has a design that will keep you keen on the contents--it's not too busy and not heavily ad-laden, so the main focus remains on the content. I would love to see this site grow further and enjoy more interactivity with its visitors. This here's a nice and even friendly resource that people who want to ditch their day jobs can really use. |

Review Title: Promising |
| Date Reviewed: October 18, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Lynn Lopez |
What I noticed right off is how low-key this site's layout is: it's made up of a straightforward vertical layout and somber but elegant colors. As for the content, it's not just made up of the sales page and the registration form to be part of the site owner's list. It also has a pulldown menu which contains the links to rest of the contents which the site has to offer. It has a pretty sizeable collection of useful articles, but nothing too overwhelming; make sure to check all of them out as they promise to be of great help.
I noticed the site also makes use of "Exit Grabber" which indeed grabs your attention, supposedly before you leave the site. I noticed however that it popped up even though I wasn't even about to leave the site. Perhaps this needs fixing?
A pretty satisfying site, overall, though more content would help. |

Review Title: Visit this site before planning your cruise! |

| I've always entertained the idea of going on a cruise someday, and I must say that this website was really, really helpful in providing plenty of information about it. So if you are also looking for a great resource on cruises, you can turn to this website and come away with a lot of new knowledge. It talks about nearly every aspect of cruises, including the food, what you can expect, activities, what you need to pack, and how you can cruise for free. Serious wealth of information right here. The design is nothing spiffy, but it keeps the whole site and the contents looking decently organized, so let's not look for fancy graphics and layouts anymore. You will completely appreciate the articles and all the advice, so it would surely be a good idea to bookmark this site if you're planning on going on a cruise in the future. |

Review Title: Needs work |
| Date Reviewed: November 23, 2007 |

| I must say that it has a really clever tactic to get people to opt in to its list. If you really want to get in the site and see what it has to offer, you have to sign up for the free newsletter. Convenient for the site owner, though probably not for those who are just interested in taking a look first before committing to anything. Upon signing up, you go through the usual confirmation process and then you'll promptly receive the first installment of the newsletter. It offers up a few well-known gems, briefly written 'secrets' to making money with hub pages. There's also a link to a certain portion of the website, and unfortunately, the link is dead dead dead. I would really love to see this page have loads more content instead of just offering e-books and a newsletter. Both are helpful, yes, but the website ought to speak more volumes. |
