Website Analytics By Google

Mmm, Google Analytics. Practically everyone I know who uses this loves it, and some of them could even spend hours just fiddling with it; apparently, that's how engaging it can get! I personally think it's a very interesting tool, a great help in keeping you on your toes when it comes to your website's traffic. It pretty much has everything you need to keep track of your visitors, plus it will also help you figure out how you can improve your site so the traffic just keeps pouring in like crazy. This is definitely a highly recommended tool for all website owners. It would be doing your site a huge favor if you sign up for this service right away. It works very simply, too. You just have to sign up, fill in the necessary information, and then paste the code in your site so it can begin its work.

Website Analytics By Google
a little learning curve for me to get over., November 13, 2007

This is probably the most complicated and the slowest Google application I have ever tried, to date.
I have been generally satisfied with Google’s applications, services, etc. Adsense was the most difficult I have had to use, before Google Analytics. I have learned to get around Adsense’s interface, but Analytics really had me jumping through hoops, a bit.
It was also Google Analytics that made me realize, “Hey, it’s just the search engine that makes Google so seemingly simple, after all!” Because I have had to jump through, well, low hoops for Gmail. Phew.
It wasn’t just that the interface was rather complicated. It was also the fact that the webpages were quite heavy to load, too. Not to mention I have to wait for 24 hours to get the information I needed.
But there’s one thing I would like to commend. The color scheme departed from the usual Google white and blue. I love the orange accents.
So, I will update for when I have my data up. As of now, I’m excited to be disappointed. My site isn’t much, so I’ve already braced myself.
Edit: Strange. 24 hours has passed and still, my website analysis contained no data. It generated a report, but it was devoid of any details. Most likely, it's due to the coding of my website, because it has been known to block other scripts in the past.
But I like the organization of the report. If I probably had data, I would have enjoyed it. But I can't help noting that Wordpress has similar, if not better at some points, free tools too.
And yet, others may be able to make better use of Google Analytics than I have.
