The download size approaches 50 MB, so it was kind of a surprise to have such a hefty file on my hands. It wasn't the most convenient thing to download though, particularly due to my intermittent Internet connection at the time, but I really think this package should have been much lighter.
Anyway, the videos are embedded in the PDF, which is a great idea. You can watch the full video tutorial at the end of each section OR simply read the contents of the PDF. The video tutorials simply highlight what has been discussed in the section by taking you through the process step by step so they're a really big help for people who are new to this whole thing. I say it truly lived up to its promise of being a guide for the newbies. It's a good product overall and one that is highly recommended for people who are just starting out.

Apparently this e-book was supposed to come with movies. When I downloaded the PDF file, though I was impressed with the content, there were no movies.
But while that was the case, I wasn’t discouraged or disappointed with the e-book. I was actually so impressed by it that I didn’t really care about the movies, or lack of them, anymore.
This is a comprehensive yet easy-to-understand manual of creating a website that covers everything from the planning to the design, to the upload and setup of the website on the server, down to the launch of the website.
I love: the clean lines, the beautiful, relaxing, engaging design that gives your mind a sense of quiet when you are mulling over your ideas for your website.
The e-book provides links to applications that will take you to the software you need from the design to the site checking/evaluation and monitoring. The best part? Some applications he recommended were totally free, and even GNU, Open-Source apps, like Mozilla Firefox and Kompozer, or the precursor to NVu, one of the most recommended Open-Source HTML/Webpage editor.
A note to those interested in trying their hand at creating webpages and websites, if you want your website fully optimized to the search engines, avoid FrontPage and other Microsoft applications; they tend to embed unnecessary, even bad, code, which would only serve to hamper your SEO efforts.
Get this resource for a start, and good luck!

What a disappointment..., February 10, 2008
When I get a video product, it is because that is how I learn best.
What I expect from a video is a is a screencapture with a voice track.
This has labels appearing with instructions written on them and the incessant clacking of a pretend tyrewriter.
I can't comment on whether the product was any good because it would have driven me mad to listen to it.
As for labels, one of the reasons I prefer video is because I don't have to waer my glasses to be able to follow it.
