Good recipes, but please improve layout, December 26, 2007
This is indeed a gourmet recipe cookbook. Recipes with sophisticated-sounding French titles, for example, are definitely here. Despite this, though, the ingredients look accessible – not really hard to find, so easy for home cooking.
The breadth of recipes here is impressive – from appetizers to desserts. I wish there were more soup recipes, though, as there only about five or less than five recipes here. Also, since this is a gourmet cookbook, the table of contents would look better if it were grouped into appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts. And there should definitely be clickable corresponding page numbers per recipe in the table of contents to make finding a recipe easy.
Also, to make this e-book viewer-friendly and printer-friendly, only one recipe should be placed per page. As it is right now, the layout is quite problematic. The recipes actually begin right below the table of contents, and not on the page after. Photos of some of the best recipes here would also make the e-book more appealing.

Yum, yum, recipes! I have missed getting recipe e-books here, and this collection doesn't disappoint. I can't even begin to count just how many food items are in this collection, but looking through the whole bunch is a pretty tasty experience. The recipes are diverse and the instructions seem easy enough to follow.
The formatting could use some improvement, because some sections tend to look a bit cluttered. As always, I usually say that including pictures in a recipe book is always a helpful technique, because it not only helps readers visualize how a meal should look, but it also adds a little something to an e-book's appearance, rather than simply being a list of recipes. Something cookbook creators should consider in the future, I think.
All in all, this is a pretty simple collection, but the amount of recipes listed here will certainly blow you away. Very much perfect for a cooking site or for personal use.
