The title made me extremely curious because I was wondering what secrets Microsoft Word had to offer its users. It turns out that it simply shares some techniques and features which probably some less experienced users do not know about and which more experienced users migh be overlooking. I have to admit that it does serve up some pretty useful tips, though, so even people who frequently use Microsoft Word for word processing can still benefit from a few reminders mentioned here. The author clearly enjoyed writing this guide and obviously makes use of the program a lot. The text is also accompanied by images which can help you follow the steps given. The whole package also includes a short PDF document which tells readers how to score free or discounted Microsoft software. If you already know your way extremely well around Microsoft Word's functions, I would tell you not to bother with this one, but if not, you can find this a useful business companion.

I liked this little guide to MS Word, subtitles "Using Microsoft Word for Your Small Business". Most people who use Word never discover all its functions. Here you will learn how to use the drawing and text box tools, how to design stationary such as envelopes and business cards, using graphs and a few more things. I did learn some new things from this.
I would have liked it to be abit longer as I know there is lots more to learn such as how to fix the normal style, which seems to get messed up easily.
I don't think it is worth $14.95 though. You can buy "Word 2007 for Dummies" at Amazon for that price. I would probably use it as a giveaway with something else.

Not really secrets, but basics, August 25, 2007
When I started reading this e-book, I expected to learn something new in using MS Word to cut down my time in using it. Unfortunately, as I read through this e-book, I began to realize the tips here may be more useful to beginner users, or specifically to those who only know how to use the text functions in MS Word. I am not an expert in using MS Word and I am not a graphic designer either, but I learned to use it for school projects and office work.
On the bright side, though, beginner users would find this e-book helpful. The author takes you through each step with illustrations, even circling in red the buttons you should press. The advice here on how to conserve ink will also be valuable to those who do not know it yet.
The word “secrets” in the title is misleading and should be re-phrased so the reader would not expect too much.
All in all, this e-book would be a useful read to MS Word beginners.
