It's not just a for-Christmas-season-only guide, but it's one that's helpful all year round, so I don't see why the title would just specifically target Christmas. After all, safe online shopping shouldn't just be practiced during the holidays. It explains payment methods and how to understand product descriptions so you know what you're getting. Some people would find the information shared here to be very basic, but it's not bad for those who have yet to grasp the concept of online safety and protecting one's identity and credit card information on the Internet. It would probably be a good idea if it also provided more detailed information on reliable shopping websites and how you can spot possible scams, and also to whom you should file complaints if a company took your money and failed to deliver a product.
All in all, this e-book is not particularly exceptional, and contains mainly standard info. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you already know how to protect yourself online.

Being Safe Online at Christmas Time By
Timely book for the holidays, November 30, 2007
Though this e-book offers advice that can be applied anytime, whether during the holidays or not, the advice here is particularly relevant for the Christmas season, given the holiday rush in buying presents. Especially when, caught in the holiday mood, we may be more relaxed and less careful in making purchases.
Protection of the privacy of your personal information and financial transactions is particularly important, and it’s a good thing that this e-book detailed much advice on this. Damage control, as in the case of lost debit cards, is also covered here – and discussed quite well.
The tips for safe online shopping towards the end of the book give the most thorough advice, from finding out more about who you’re buying from to making your payment secure. And of course, the wrap-up the author gives at the end of the book drives home the point – that shopping online is basically the same as shopping in a mall. And yes, safety measures are necessary.
If you are planning to shop online this Christmas – or anytime, for that matter – read this book.
