This book is very good in helping me realise the mistakes I made when planning a budget. I have tried making a budget but missed out a few important elements which is why my previous budgets have never worked. Highly recommended for everyone.
Thanks

How To Set Up A Family Budget By
Very helpful!, March 22, 2007
Reviewer: Lynn Lopez
This e-book takes you through the intricacies of setting up a budget for your family and the things you should consider when preparing one. It explains the importance of having a budget and sticking to it, and also includes some tips sent in by other people. Granted, it doesn't really offer anything new about budgets and money-saving tactics, but it compiles nearly ALL possible relevant tips you would be needing. With 53 pages, you probably wouldn't want to print out the whole thing as a reminder for each member of your family though.
It starts out with an introduction on budgeting and then moves on to other chapters which help you figure out your monthly expenses, things you should cut back, what you need to do to stick to your budget, and how it should be used. It also gives some advice on debt consolidation and also has some pretty good ideas on how you can spend some fun quality time together without breaking the bank.
It's simple, readable, and isn't preachy. I recommend this e-book not just for families, but for anyone who needs to scrimp a little.

How To Set Up A Family Budget By
Making family budgeting more doable, September 10, 2007
Though most of the information here may be known by many people already, this e-book can serve as a thorough checklist and reminder if you want to set up a family budget and stick to it.
The author first attempts to “demystify budgeting” as it is not as daunting as it seems. He/she aims to put the reader at the right mindset for budgeting. The advantages of setting up a family budget as well as the causes of budgeting failures are discussed before detailed advice on budgeting is given.
The author broke up how to balance your income with your expenses into five simple, general steps before delving into specifics on each step.
Towards the end, the author also gives budgeting advice from online users. This is helpful, though some parts are already redundant as some of the tips have already been mentioned in previous sections.
At the beginning of the e-book, the layout and photos are easy on the eyes. Thought-provoking quotes placed before the introduction kept me interested to read on. However, from the middle towards the end, the e-book becomes text-heavy without sufficient breaks. The final thoughts on setting up a family budget and the quotes at the end, though, are good closing material.

Budgeting for 2008, June 17, 2008
Full of good sound advice but I did find some of the content had a lot of ‘fill-in’ and unnecessary wording which on occasion made for clumsy reading. With world markets in turmoil and prices going up an e-book on budgeting is never more appropriate. Budgeting does not go out of date so despite this being new for 2007 we can all benefit for 2008.
