If you need driver's ed to get traffic to your website, you don't need to read the traffic signs. You could get this manual, and be on your way to climb up the ranks of Google and Alexa in no time.
Comprehensive, it covers virtually all the aspects of website traffic generation, including with other forms of web marketing. It even includes the use of non-internet media, such as TV and radio, in your advertising campaigns.
It is themed with traffic lingo, so its very fun to read, especially those who need to have novelty incorporated in their web marketing crash courses. If you have loved crash courses on web marketing but hate the fact that you zone off to sleep on most of them, try this one, because you will never fall asleep with this!
Great points: Virtually no "fluff", fully packed with information.
Area it needs to improve on: A clickable Table of Contents would be nice.
But other than that, I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Let me state up front that the author does not go into great detail as to the how-to about everything he talks about. This is not really necessary though.
He breaks down traffic generation into many different levels and each level has many types of methods. The first level starts out with entirely free, simple, and old methods of getting traffic. Of course, the results of the methods are usually not worth the trouble. And, he points this out.
He then takes you from level to level of ideas. Still mostly free at the early stages and working up to services you pay for at the end. With each technique you get an assessment of the authors opinion of its value in getting traffic. Most of the opinions I agree with.
This is a book that can be extremely useful to the new marketer in deciding which tactics to use and which to pass up. Even for some of us Net veterans, this can remind us of some tactics we may have stopped using, but might want to try again.
The sales page is first rate for those who will sell this in addition to reading it. It's about midnight as I write this, but first thing in morning, this goes on my sites.
By the way, another thing that impressed me is the lack of affiliate links. Books like this usually lend themselves to be a book of links. The author does promote a program, but the text of the book is link-free. As the old TV show said, "just the facts."

I like how this e-book took the approach of making the website traffic guide appear like a guide on navigating dirt roads and highways. It makes sense, pointing out that as with driving down roads, you have to exert a lot of effort to really get people to stop along the 'information superhighway' and visit your site. The first few tips provide guidelines on how you can drum up traffic using simple, and even free, methods, and everything just progresses gradually until you reach the "highway" guidelines, which includes massive advertising, generating good and original content, and offline promotions
This really drives you through the nitty-gritty details and helps you learn the common methods used in increasing website traffic. It's very smartly written and takes it time in explaining how each system works, leaving you well-informed and able to choose which method will suit you best. A great product for anyone trying to hit it big online.
