The whole thing weighs in at almost 1 MB and I particularly like the arrangement of the content and the layout. It's also great for the organic gardener who is just starting out because it also contains pictures of the tools you're going to need and it also gives all the specifics for caring for each of the vegetables that you plan on planting and growing and even has an indicator at the start of each vegetable growing article which tells you what time of the year you should be sowing and harvesting your crops. It's a pretty long guide and is really meant to be used by aspiring gardeners. If you want to find a specific page by the way, all you need to do is click the reader's 'contents' button and you'll be taken to the e-book's table of contents and you can then select the topic of your choice. A great product all in all.

Organic Secrets, July 13, 2007
What a great source of gardening information for the new gardener or a seasoned one. It is very easy to get information on a certain vegetable. Want to know how to grow potatoes? Everything is right there, planting to harvest and much more. There are even some recipes to use after harvest.

Organic Secrets By Pauline Hodgkinson
Extensive information and nice presentation, August 27, 2007
This e-book offers extensive information on organic farming and is particularly useful for beginners. It shows you how to get started on organic farming – testing your soil and making it suitable for organic farming, planning what you will plant, the tools or equipment you will use for each step in farming, and more.
The author, Pauline Hodgkinson, also gives suggestions for your crop rotation for four years. It also discusses each particular vegetable’s number of days to germinate and number of days to mature for harvesting.
She even gives step-by-step growing instructions for specific vegetables and herbs (e.g. broccoli, eggplant and fennel) – the type of soil needed, which months to grow (also this might be applicable only to UK and nearby countries), how to plant it and how to care for it and when you can harvest it. There are even recipes here for some of the vegetables.
The look and layout is very much like a website and is visually appealing and easy to navigate. My only problem is that there is no table of contents and no links leading to each page. Since the e-book is in website format, the table of contents should be placed in menu format in each page. This will be helpful to the reader especially in the section on growing a particular vegetable – the reader can easily go to the vegetables they would like to know about more.
