Dying to try the recipes!, November 12, 2007

I always liked recipes, because I’m a foodie, and I was intrigued with these outdoor “camping” recipes. I was wondering if they’d be special, or if they’ll just be the usual food under a fancy e-book title.
I was looking at first for trail mix, because I am a big fan of nuts and cereals. But when I found one, on page 13, I was surprised because the recipe called for both honey and curry powder in one strange mixture. Though I am predicting that that would taste strange, I cannot deny that I am intrigued enough to try it someday.
Another must-try for me is the Antiguan Charcoal Baked Bananas. It’s your ordinary banana with a Caribbean twist: rum. Spices. Sugary butter and lime. I sure wonder how that would taste. Dying to try the recipe. There are such delights as hash with a meat twist, cobbler desserts, and more. I love the organization and the fact that this is rather neat, despite lapses, but what I love more.. Are the exotic recipes inside.
Dying to try them, I am!

Simple, yummy recipes, November 30, 2007
These look like great, mouthwatering recipes. And they are quite easy to prepare, too – which they should be, as cooking will be done while on camp. Even while you have limited cooking equipment, the possibilities are endless. There are recipes to suit all kinds of taste buds, from the classic camping recipes like s’mores (the version here sounds yummy) to the unusual like berry stew. For those who want to try recipes from different countries, this e-book is also just right for your cravings – there are Caribbean, Australian, Polish, Indian and more.
While I have no complaints with the content (this is full marks), I wish it would be easier to find a recipe in this e-book. As it is right now, the table of contents simply provides a listing of the recipes. There are no page numbers. The recipes could also have been grouped – again, for easier location of recipes. My suggestion would be grouping them by meal and by snack. These could also be sub-grouped further.
All in all, though, this e-book shows that delicious could be simple and easy.
