START PART TIME
Once you dig your way through all the hype, scams and frauds, you find
that there is a future in marketing on the Internet. Don’t get carried away and quit your full time job. Start part time from home (which gives you some tax breaks). If you have a room set aside for your Internet marketing, you can write off a percentage of your rent, light, heat etc. Plus any supplies, computer, copier, connection to the Internet .

Highjackers
If they want the product you are selling, they highjack your commission by
cutting off your affiliate id, www.bestproduct.com/re=nosales.
They then just join as an affiliate, www.bestproduct.com and
are given an id, www.bestproduct.com/re/hiscode.
You lose your commission, the hijacker buys with the id he is given by the
same company and gets the commission you should have had.
He gets the product at a discount. You not only lost your commission but
you lost an affiliate that should have been in behind you, in any sales he
might bring in.
Most persons coming on the Internet don’t know this is going on. They
are spending their time and money advertising for a MLM were their
chances of making any money are slim. Between the persons that highjack
and the others for various reasons just cut off your id, over 94 percent of
newbies fail.
Yes people are making money on the Internet. They sell via e Bay, have
their own products, or if they sell as an affiliate know how to clone their
affiliate number so they can’t be stolen. This is easy if you know the script
to use and have a website.
TRUST
In my day you had to what is called hard sell until your customer gave in. It took from 6 to 12 calls to close a deal. I really think you pushed your product till the weary customer gave in.
Today on and off line, it doesn’t matter how good of a salesperson you are, how many times you hit him with your product, the customer is too savvy to buy something they don’t need. More so on line, as with a click you’re gone.
You have to focus on the customer needs. Communication and ethics now play bigger role in selling. Learn to see things from a customer’s point of view and take the time to listen. The customer wants questions answered.
The biggest time spend in selling, more so in mail order or on the Internet is developing a relationship with your customer and building trust. If you did a good job in the first two, closing a sale will take the smallest of your time spend with your customer.
I was in the publishing, printing, mail order business before I retired. Some of the ways to attract customers to your site, using off line free sources which are not used as often on the Internet are:
Bulletin boards, regardless of were you live, opportunities abound. You will find these boards in grocery stores, malls, churches, hospitals, and civic centers.
Mall events, most malls will rent space on weekends were persons could put up a table to sell their products. Many of them come back every week end . Check around see if any of them will allow you to place cards or flyers on their table. Even offer to help at their table for a couple of hours in exchange.
This goes for the big garage sales, flea markets that are on weekends.
This way you are going to some of the would be Internet Marketers, but
don’t know where or how to start. By being off line you are starting
to build a trust with them.
Try some off line ways to advertise. You will be surprised at the results.
FILE TYPES
In addition to HTML files, Google search also supports 12 other formats such as PDF, Microsoft Office, PostScript, Corel WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, and others.

Besides keeping in touch with friends and family, many seniors
are finding that they can supplement their pensions by going on line.
Remember if you do plan on going on the internet to earn, research
before you put out any money. Join free, and work your way in
slowly.
Subscribe to a few free news letters, join a few free forums. Check
it out first before putting out any money. Yes the Internet is full
of scammers, but there are some good chances of earning with firms
who have been around for years.
WARNING
Most people who have been on the Internet for a while, are becoming a
little more sophisticated, and are not falling for the traditional scams, phishing. Most no longer get fooled by notices from Banks, PayPal, Tax Department, lottery.
However phishing has found another way at getting your money. They have come up with websites offshore, list some products at bargain prices,
(small amounts) and even send you the product. Once they have your
credit card number, and learn your billing date, they will charge your
account with products you did not ordered. By the time you get your
billing notice and realize you didn’t order and contact your credit
company, they are a long time gone.
More importantly, if someone breaks into your computer, in a few seconds
commands by a hacker, can bring headaches. While you may think
you are on a secure Web Site, in reality you are in a world of damage.
You could enter the web address for your online banking
and they could reroute you to a \"look alike\" site, get your
account number and password, and steal your identity - not worth
the risk folks.
I never give out my credit card number other then PayPal. Every time
there is a charge made to my account at PayPal, within seconds I will
receive a e mail from them. Further if I did order a product and didn’t
receive it, I know they will credit my account with the amount paid

No Support For Microsoft Windows 98, and Millennium Edition
Microsoft is phasing out support for the older operating systems. Windows
98 was released in June 1998, Second Edition followed a year later, and Millennium Edition came out in 2000. Microsoft has been providing fixes for
only \"critical\" flaws the past couple of years and is ending support
altogether next month, after its planned July 11 patch release. Windows
